"We went whilst we were in cologne in August 2017,first of all the positives: the food is delicious-the menu is very limited but what u get is very generous, really tasty and is very cheap-we ordered the cutlets (basically enormous pork chops/ribs) with fries, fried onions and potato salad. The beer is served here as in other places in Cologne, basically it keeps coming by the glass until you place a beer mat over the top to signify you don't want anymore. Apart from the food there is very little else positive about the experience of eating here-First of all the service is truly atrocious. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is probably the worst service I have ever encountered anywhere. When we arrived in we were told to go and wait outside in the smoking area (when I say told ,I mean we were barely grunted at when we asked if we could have a seat). We waited outside for about 20 minutes without anyone coming near us,I attempted to ask a passing waiter or two if we could have a beer only to be completely blanked. Only that we took it upon ourselves to go downstairs to the basement in search of a seat we would probably still be standing there. After finally getting a seat we had to try and flag a waiters attention which was an almost impossible task. As other reviewers have mentioned ,almost all of the other clientele appear to be local and the waiters seem to have an immense dislike for tourists. They were cold, unfriendly and for the most part downright rude. The food took approximately an hour and a half after ordering to arrive so be prepared to wait-we went on a Saturday night and the place was jammed,so I would probably not advise going there on a Saturday . So all in all,if you want food that is admittedly very tasty, and very affordable then go for it,but be prepared to be treated like dirt and have to basically grovel to get a seat/beer or service !"

Hands down the tastiest Pork I've ever eaten. It is their speciality and was recommend by a member of staff and definitely worth the €12. Staff are very friendly and also helpful if it's your first visit to Cologne and you only speak English! Visualizza piatti

We were a school party on a fixed menu. Which was a shame as the typical German menu looked great. The staff are first class helpful, pleasant and professional. Would like to return alone to sample more food it all looked good. I had a kolas he which was very good.

What a great place. If you're after an authentic German experience this ticks all the boxes: loads of character, a friendly atmosphere and good beer and sausage. Simple fare and might be noisier than some would like, but three or us had a lot of fun there and came out with change from 50 Euros. Highly recommended!

Look no further. If you have one night only, come to this place. If you have two, come back again. We met this guy who does roof job for the dom. after only a few minutes chatting with him I felt in love with people live in this city. They have the friendliness without covering people elsewhere lack of nowadays. In other words, they are anything but pretentious. Visualizza piatti

Knew we needed to hit this place up for a meal and are not disappointed we did. We crossed over the bridge and stood in front of the Triangle trying to orient ourselves to the street - it looked like the street it was on only went the wrong direction so I finally asked someone who kindly gave us directions. If you are standing with your back to Mongos, look across the way to your right where there's a hostel, all you have to do is cross over and cut thru this way and you'll be there. We were immersed in German once we entered the beer garden area- it seemed that all the locals were there having lunch. We got served a Kolsch and soon after the waiter took our order - 2 chops, one with fries, th...

As all other reviews state. You can't find a better pork chop and beer than this place! We arrived on a Sunday shortly after it opened. The place was packed! Fortunately we found a seat inside the basement. We were hungry and thirsty for cold beer so we took it! Now, the beer arrives quickly,No questions. But if you want to order food I suggest placing that order as soon as you receive your first beer!!!! Even though you will have a constant flow of beer does not mean that your server will have the time to actually stop and take your order. Frustrating. But after 4 beers we finally were recognized enough to get our order in. It took about 45 minutes to arrive. More cold beer in between. So a...

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
