Lot Bar & Restaurant

I went here with my friend fur lunch. The waitress with the strawberry painted nails (so sorry forgot name) made the whole experience amazing. We weren’t rushed, we were made to feel very welcome. We felt extremely well looked after the whole time we were there. The food and drink was excellent and we would recommend to our friends.

On out visit it was cold and looked like rain due to having our dog with us we had to sit outside we asked if the umbrella could be put up they said yes then come.back and said too windy (not even windy) on passing a few days back over Xmas it was Gail forced winds but umbrella were up need to improve on customer service and not making excuses because they can't be bothered

Have eaten several times in The Lot mostly daytime occasionally evenings and have always enjoyed the food and the service and the vibe the place has ,but I was impressed this Friday when at a 11am the restaurant fell silent as a mark of respect instigated in no small part by the staff and adhered to by all in the restaurant as someone who served in conflict it was genuinely moving. Bar person had attitude straight away on asking about the parking outside. Waited about 10 mins for drinks even though it wasn’t busy. Food came within 2 mins of order so knew it was microwaved straight away. Although I ordered a side of chips and they were cold. King prawn linguine and a lasagne were both terrible. Linguine hardly touched but no one asked if the food was ok. Would not vibist again!

I booked for Sunday brunch with 5 friends. The waiting staff were lovely attentive but not intrusive, and the food was excellent. It arrived quickly and was piping hot. We all had something different and everyone cleared their plate… we will be making regular visits! Great job The Lot Bar and Restaurant! Not been here for a while but nothings changed the food was excellent better than ever, we had the best starters and main courses. The chefs at the Lot Shenfield would make any top London restaurant proud. Will be returning very soon. Went for lunch at the end of November, 9 of us in total, from across Essex, so Shenfield was really convenient to get to by train. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after by the team drinks in the bar, brought to travel, properly shown through and seated etc Great selection on the menu, something for everyone, and when it turned up which didn’t take long it was all really good. Great drinks selection the Rioja was particularly enjoyable. All in all, a great place for a buzzy informal lunch with friends or family.

Head staff were very rude and service terrible .. the main food took forever , sides didn’t come with the main dishes when they did finally arrive . Only one desert came we reminded them two times we was still waiting then the head waiter rudely told us we had to go asap because the table was needed . He still insisted while we politely explained the food had taken forever and we was still waiting on a desert . We ended up rushing and even had our drinks cancelled no finding us somewhere else to finish deserts and drinks absolutely appalling . My friend I booked a table here for dinner as we had been here previously and loved it. When we arrived we asked if we could sit outside however the waitress said this is fine but would require the table back for half 7 (we arrived just gone 6) and that if we sat inside there would be no rush for giving the table back. We sat inside and most of the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food drinks were great aswell. However when it got to about 10 past 8 we were told that our time had run out on the table and we had to leave now and that when you book it says you have 2 hours despite a dessert menu being offered to us 10 mins before this.
