"I have been to the cafe here a few times now, both before and after social distance measures. The really great thing about having a tea break here is that it is perfectly possible to do this in a safe socially distanced way. The cafe has a delightful courtyard with tables under cover, whilst also being outside. It is sheltered, too.The crockery is attractive vintage, which is in keeping with the character of the place. Food is ok and thee cafe has done the half price eat in Covid offer. Vegan cakes and biscuits are scarce. Despite them claiming to have a vegan option, I have never encountered one. The only savoury option is a sausage sandwich which is a poor offering. Come on Lytham Hall get with the programme. Buy a Bosh book and make an effort!Value for money? It would be better if a pot of tea for two was slightly less than a pot of tea for one x 2. However, the new car parking costs pump up the overall spend at the Hall, so you might be better off at Costa down the road. Don't rely on Lytham Hall having free disabled spaces either, there is only room for 4 or so cars and they are all filled now the carpark charges."

I can't give this place a high rating as a restaurant, it's more like a cafe. The food is mediocre and the staff seem unhappy. It's disappointing that the cafe isn't better, as it wouldn't survive in the center of Lytham.

Pleasant surroundings. Lovely looking cakes in the counter display. Unfortunately only the flapjacks are for the gluten free. Very very disappointing. When asked, the waitress says everything we have is on the menu. Very useful. Not. Plenty for vegans though. Perhaps I should become a vegan instead.

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was very disappointed. The tea tasted like dishwater, and I had to clean my cup and cutlery. The sandwich I ordered was unpleasant, with Cumberland sausages that were half cooked and hard. I left my meal uneaten and will not be returning. In addition, the table we were seated at was filthy and I had to clean it myself.

We had an excellent afternoon tea at Lytham Hall. After a tour of the hall where Denise shared many interesting facts about the Clifton family, we enjoyed a fantastic experience with Simon as our perfect host and Angela attending to us diligently. The food was fabulous, the surroundings were elegant, and the overall experience was excellent. Thank you for a truly exceptional experience. Visualizza piatti

12.11.23 Interesting old hall plus lovely grounds but the cafe is disappointing.Today it was like Crufts with some dogs barking, sitting on the chairs, sniffing around ,some not on leads. One couple nearby had three large damp, smelly dogs.,heads on the table. Not ideal if you are having a meal, plus there are hygiene issues. I accept that if you love dogs/have a dog it might suit. Its not for us . Note that we were in the cafe ,not the main hall (not sure of the dogs policy in there).

Lovely walk round the grounds of Lytham Hall with the dog followed by breakfast .The cafe had a lovely atmosphere and was busy but with a nice vibe of people and well behaved dogs .My husband had kippers and I had poached eggs on toast .Both dishes were delicious and piping hot . Staff were very friendly and efficient .Reasonably priced for the quality of food . There is an option to eat outside as well when the weather heats up .After eating we had a look round the plants that are for sale just outside the cafe .All in all a very enjoyable morning and we will be back .

Wow! What a brilliant meal we had today. Two of us had vegan chcken burger, I had vegan cottage pie. The food was awesome, soooooo good! Really fantastic value, everything about it was superb. And they had jack rabbit vegan wine which was the icing on the cake! All this in such a beautiful setting.... lovely. And a huge shout out to the team looking after us today. Exceptional customer service, we simply could not have been better catered for. Nothing was too much trouble. And so friendly and welcoming too. Thank you Linda, Clare, Mia, Abbey Adam you have this 'customer care ' thing absolutely nailed. Highly recommended Visualizza piatti

Was disappointed that tables are not cleaned and staff do not carry out this task every time a table is cleared. Both our table and the one next to it contained crumbs but no effort to clean them. Food very dated and probably suits an elderly demographic. Had hot beef and onion which was served on a white barm cake. Had many better elsewhere and very basic. Not asked if any sauces could be provided and very 1990’s. Would have been better if slightly toasted and some gravy added with better quality bread used. All in all very average and not a venue I would return to as not very hygienic and this is a minimum standard that I look for.

Lytham Hall is stunning and the grounds and gardens are well worth the £1 to park and explore. The cafe is in a pleasant spot within the courtyards at the back of the Hall, you can either sit inside, out in a walled quadrangle, or on picnic tables in the garden in the front. The food and cakes are well prepared. We had chocolate cake at our latest visit and the portions were good and tasty enough. Usual range of hot and cold drinks at typical prices for these sorts of places. The menu is more limited than it used to be before lock-down, when there used to be more daily specials available, but hopefully this is on a temporary limitation. Enjoyed our visit.
