"The meal was truly excellent, with remarkable quality and careful presentations on each plate. However, our experience was slightly tarnished by the less than warm welcome from our waitress. In addition to her lack of smile, she neglected to wish us a bon appetit, which is a basic requirement in this profession. Additionally, we are still waiting to have the opportunity to share our opinions on our starters, main courses and desserts since she never asked us, only content to clear. We took the initiative to raise this topic at checkout, and the response we received surprised us. We were told that the waitress only returned a smile to those who gave it to her. This remark was more than inappropriate, given that we were completely courteous throughout our interaction and even tried to make her smile.
