I loved the food at Mirchi! It’s a lot more creative and varied than most Indian restaurants I have been to and incredibly tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful, plus it’s a nice building. I look forward to going again soon.

By far the best Indian food in the area. Far from standard fare, this restaurant produces real, home cooked, truly Indian dishes. A pleasure, and surprisingly reasonable prices. The food is good, when it is fresh. I go there for an occasional Dosa and Vada. On a number of occasions they have served stale chutneys and dosa filling. Yesterday, the dosa arrived within a minute of ordering and it was cold to touch. I asked them to replace it. The replacement was warm but not crisp. I ordered Vada for takeaway. Since they were busy and taking time to bring the check, I opened the package and decided to eat it. The chutneys were clearly a few days old. The excuse they gave was that they get packed in the morning (not). They then brought the fresh chutneys. I was not delighted paying £22. It’s a hit and miss. We had biryani with lamb on the bone and my partner had manchurian veggie balls and veggie noodles. The biryani came in a fairly big bowl but the lamb on the bone portion was only just adequate. The lamb was tender and tasted very nice. The rice was just okay Fairly nice flavours but overrall a very dry dish and I didn't like the cloves in the rice. It was expensive for what it was! My partner enjoyed the manchurian veggie balls but said they were very spicy. She did NOT enjoy the veggie noodles as she said they were bland.
