"Sometimes a 4* review on a non veg*n restaurant is intended as a 5* review but you're not allowed to rate it 5*. In this case it's intended 4*. Food is a little pricey a burger, chips and a coke is nearly £17. And the presentation of the burger was pretty disappointing it seemed to have been thrown together with no thought for how it looked. But it tasted great, I really enjoyed it. Seasoned jalapeno fries were good too. Service was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. I think the menu has changed and got even bigger for vegans, see photo there are clearly several dessert options too, though I was far too stuffed to contemplate it. Highly recommended."

The restaurant offers a wide variety of options and a solid menu at an affordable price. You really can't go wrong here. This is an update from the previous review dated September 27, 2021.

Had lunch here today and had a good burger and fries. But sweets were all ice cream based and none vegan. Whether we weren’t offered a separate vegan sweet menu I don’t know. But we were full anyway so didn’t push it.

The burgers were quite tasty, and the portion sizes were satisfactory. The fries were excellent, but they had to be ordered separately. However, it was a bit challenging to find vegan options on the menu. This review reflects an update from my previous rating on June 30, 2022.

We were amazed at the vegan options at this Tex Mex burger chain. Separate vegan menu with five different burgers, nachos, pizza and chilli n’cheese fries these were recommended by our server and they didn’t disappoint. One of the very best vegan burgers we’ve tasted with vegan cheese, relish and gherkins. Great tasting bun too!

I'm between 3 and 4 stars for this place, but I'm feeling generous. Its a bit expensive which is annoying but the burgers are yummy and there are many to choose from, which is fantastic! Chicken-style, beef-style, and vegetable patties and loads of different toppings. The brioche buns are so tasty too! The chips are alright too (however they come seperate so and they offer vegan milkshakes!

When I pointed out the absence on the menu, the original server returned to say he would check. Ultimately, he confirmed that the sour cream was not vegan. He offered to replace the dish, but since we had already waited a while and were hungry, my partner decided to simply push the sour cream aside and eat the rest. This experience left me feeling uncertain about the staff's knowledge regarding vegan options. It seemed like there was a lack of training regarding allergens among some employees.

I then spoke with two other staff members who also claimed it was vegan. When I pointed out that it wasn't on the menu, the original server finally decided to check again. Unfortunately, I found out that the acidic cream was indeed not vegan. They offered to replace the dish, but we had already been waiting for a while and were quite hungry, so my partner pushed the sour cream aside and ate the rest of the nachos. I felt uneasy about whether the dish could truly be considered vegan, and it highlighted that some staff members might need further training on allergens. Overall, there is clearly a lack of confidence in their vegan options.

"Pleasant environment and staff were efficient. I ordered the special ciabatta with chicken and bacon, alongside a flat white coffee. The ciabatta seemed a little on the small side to me, though in observing the other clientele, I was probably a little out of place to be honest that includes my appetite. In my opinion Willows seems more geared towards 'ladies who lunch ', high teas maybe, or cocktails before the theatre. I 'm more of a messy plate of dirty fries with a burger kind of guy... if you know what I mean, and I certainly don 't mean any disrespect with that observation. The ciabatta was good and flavourful. The salad was very good and varied, the dressing was nice and rich too. I enjoyed the coffee and the final price, between 10 and 11 pounds was reasonable and expected. Accessibility wise, there is seating outdoors but there are steps inside to reach other parts of the restaurant. The chairs and tables may turn into obstacles for wheelchair users, particularly solo users, because they are quite close together. I 'd recommend booking ahead to help the staff prepare a good table if you have any accessibility requirements. Personally, I did feel a little out of place at Willows, but that was more of an observation than any true feeling of discomfort. I will keep Willows in mind if I go to lunch with a girl I want to impress, for example, and I 'd definitely recommend it for anyone wanting afternoon coffee, cakes, or a cocktail before the theatre etc."
