"We popped in here for lunch on a Wednesday. We have been coming to Morans for 30 years and although I personally I do not always love the menu options the ambience is second to none and we always have a good time....True to form it was really busy and buzzing, especially for a Midweek. We liked our seats in the sunny conservatory too. Again I was not overwhelmed by the menu but we went for light bites. My beef spring rolls were quite small and one of the 3 was incinerated and really should have been replaced. I let it go though. They were tasty and the sweet chilli sauce was a lovely dip. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her crayfish and avocado wrap. As usual the wine was expensive and the guest beer (a Timothy Taylor one) was not brilliant but we still enjoyed the atmosphere. Getting the bill was a bit of a trial too but did not spoil things. I just wish they could expand the menu a little and also ensure the food is not burned. Disappointing overall but will not deter me from visiting again"

Great food, excellent service, and a popular spot that never disappoints. This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for many years.

I ordered seafood pancakes and a salad. The pancakes seemed to have been microwaved and were not presented well, but they were tasty and pretty good overall.

Recently went for lunch with friends and another lovely meal. Always our go to for coffee and cake but it was nice to have a lunch. Food was amazing and service was excellent. You never let us down and glad your back open.

A nice place, great cakes, coffee hit miss, noisy location if sitting outside! Food basic and fairly exspensive for what you get. There seems to be no ventilation in this place, although they have air conditioning, but seems to do nothing especilally important with...Covid being around!!

Midweek dining experience was very good space and attention. Service was attentive enough, found the menu a little bit unimaginative, but managed to find a main course to eat each (burger is always a safe choice, but what about a steak sandwich as an...option. Would have loved to see some old school items, like stroganoff or kiev on the menu . Nachos were great to share though.

Saturday morning visit in morans it was busy and deserved to be. beautiful selection of homemade cakes and pastries as well as a tempting breakfast menu. we chose cappuccinos and tasty homemade cheeses, which are still a bit warm from the ones. found the place...lovable and airy are carried out with all covid measures. definitiw the place to go in the bath road and with a huge parking almost next door convenient as well

My wife and I had lunch here on Saturday the 16th Oct. we’ve dropped in here fairly regularly in the past and it was always pretty good. A different story this time I’m afraid. The place was busy and we waited to be seated, but...no one assisted, so we found our own table. The serving staff , all young girls, where very unhelpful, completely uninterested and didn’t have a clue what they where doing. Also had a to ask for our table to be cleaned. When the food did arrive, the girl didn’t even bring any cutlery !! Food very average. I know that many restaurants are struggling to recruit staff at the moment, but come on, at least give some proper training to those you do take on ! Wouldn’t rush...

We visited this restaurant last week for drinks and bar food, as we have in the past. I am writing this review because my partner does not like to complain. We sat in the back garden of the building where we noticed a dirty table that was not cleaned during our visit. I ordered the Thai corn fritters with a side salad, but was disappointed to find that the salad consisted only of lettuce and brown cabbage that did not seem fresh. My partner ordered the nachos with chili, which were usually delicious, but this time they were unappetizing with burnt chips and a much smaller portion. The side accompaniments were served in tiny dipping bowls rather than on the plate as we were used to. Overall,...

"The story: Two weeks prior, peeking through the restaurant window, I was intrigued to see the kitchen artizans hard at work creating sushi platters that looked vibrant but also elegant. On the 14th November at lunchtime, I was looking forward to trying Kibou as Japanese cuisine is one of my favourites. It's very hard to see the same level of unique variety that Kibou has compared to the few Japanese restaurants I am local to. We wanted to try an array of items and the mini seasonal menu had just been released in time for our visit as well. The food: The Jo Moriawase and New Style Sashimi were great introductions to the first impressions of the quality and range of the dishes available as they were the assortment dishes. Our server provided us with guidance on what we should try first on the Jo Moriawase in order to prevent ending up with eating soggy nori which we appreciated. The Black Cod Nigiri is nothing I have ever tried before so this was also an interesting experience for our tastebuds. My dad has a tough palate to appease but to my surprise, he was satisfied with the Spider Roll Temaki and Chashu Ramen (he thought the pork broth could have been less strong but nonetheless still enjoyed, not like the artificial flavourings you get in an instant ramen if you know what I mean). The Chirashizushi was great for me as I love my sashimi. I didn't realise the yellow portions were actually tamago/egg roll until I tasted it. Some sort of gastronomical wizardry? My mum really lavished the Yaki Udon textures, with the udon noodles having the right amount of nudge needed to chew and biting into the nice crispy outer layer of the tofu. My only regret is not having enough room to try the desserts. Overall, a unique adventure for the tastebuds! The price: If you are extremely budget conscious, perhaps I would not be able to recommend Kibou to you. For a family of three, we were about £40-50 per person. As of my visit, the service charge is 10%. Don't get me wrong though, I think the service charge is fair and reasonable because our experience with the staff we talked to and came by our table were lovely. The atmosphere: Family-friendly but also evening bar feel. Sakura Cherry Blossom and other Japanese-related art themes run throughout the restaurant. The service: We didn't have to wait very long to be seated or served. The waiting staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff did an amazing job with the food. Would I come again?: Yes, as a treat! Plus I want to try the dessert next time! :"
