Morpeth Spice - Menu

We discovered this place when our usual takeaway was closed. I'm glad we did, the food is great, especially my king prawn dish, the prawns were cooked perfectly. Friendly efficient service too. Thank you.

Well, it was around 20mins late, however it did arrive to our village home, hot, fresh and tasty plenty of food, great quality and to be fair, friendly service. So, already on our list as the place for the occasional cheeky curry.

This Takeaway has to be one of the best. Everyone in Morpeth should support it. Try Lamb Hydrabadi and Peshwari naan. Absolutely delicious. Have ordered several different dishes and have yet to be disappointed. Well done everyone.

Ordered a meal and was told an hour for delivery. After an hour and 10 minutes rang to ask where my meal was, was told it was out for delivery. Cancelled order as I was not going to accept a meal which had spent over a half he sat cooling in a car. Will not use again

Very decent takeaway from local restaurant. Not visited before this one as usually order from another well known Indians in Morpeth, but this place is a very good alternative that I would use again. Tasty dishes and good value for money. The naan breads were particularly nice.

We switched from another nearby Indian after some poor service but we're glad we did. Every curry is lovely, not too oily, not too spicy. Good meat to vegetable ratio, naan bread portions are generous. Delivery is swift, and the staff are friendly and helpful over the phone. Would recommend this place over any other in Morpeth

Morpeth Spice opens through the week at 5.30. Rang at 4.50 asking for a meal to be delivered, told the driver didn't come in till about six, but if I needed it beforehand, the chef would deliver it himself! Told them six was fine and ordered Lamb Karhai and Peshwari Naan. The chef turned up at 5.30 delivered the meal. Delicious as always. Thanks Mohammed and staff you're worth your weight in gold.

Well as a long term proponent of the Tandor Mahal tides might change a little. I would still visit The classic Tandor Mahal in Morpeth for a meal out but this is the new place for takeaway and delivery and Morpethians are coming round. Although I live abroad, I was back last week and had a superb curry on Sunday night so ordered another Monday just to make sure. The choice of nan breads are great, the curries are the standards with sone interesting specials and decent portions of rice. Phone service is friendly and delivery friendly and efficient. At last the Tandor Mahal has sone competition in Morpeth.

Food was great quality, cooked well and great flavour. The problems were salt is obviously needed to achieve the flavour but they went way overboard on salt. I 'm a heavy salter but that was one step away from ruined, I couldn 't eat past half the meal 'cos it was practically dehydrating me az I ate. The naan was great but tasted like normal dough rather than naan. It definitely needed onion/nigella seeds, or something, whatever that something may be just to give a bit more flavour. Staff were really friendly, rice was nice too. Just the salt spoiled it. It 's a shame because I have eaten at a good 20+ Indians in the north east and this would rank about 4th out of those and 2, of the 3 I wou...
