"I popped in Tuesday evening at 7.30pm for the first time with my 18yr old Daughter, on the spur of the moment on our evening stroll. We live 30mins away in Belstone. Typical City outskirt pub. Old grand building full of character and history. Warm homely feel and a friendly welcome from the smart dressed dark haired bar man. Lovely pint of pale ale and coffee for Daughter. We shared a light bite of veggy nachos and then continued our walk back to RD&E hospital. Very pleasant visit. I don't know how these pubs survive through the recent pandemic but I'm so glad they have. Well done team."

The food was delicious. Had Mac and cheese. The staff was friendly. Beverages were overpriced, but acceptable in view of the economic climate. Would go back.

Great pub! Beverages and food at a good price too. The staff is friendly. When I visited Gemma, she was very polite and helpful. Will definitely come back and recommend!

Warm, friendly pub. Good selection of beers and lagiers. The staff is friendly and attentive. Eat good quality and served hot. Clean tables and toilets. Discover the building, it is quirky with a hidden surprise.

Went into Mount Radford this evening. Been visiting for years, but have to say the service and attention to detail has really been stepped a notch of recent times. Great food. Great staff. A credit to the management. Keep it up!

One of my favourite pubs in Exeter. Such a lovely local feel to it. The new beers are amazing and I'm making it my mission to try them all. Best cheesy garlic bread ever! Will always meet up here before a night out (sometimes we don't end up heading into town!

beautifully kept cask ales, great atmosphere, very friendly clientele. I turned up alone, in a West Ham shirt and was made to feel extremely welcome. cant wait to go back and try the food. 11/10 been back again....the beer was **** gorgeous, massive kudos to whoever's keeping the cellar.

A great pub in a nice area. There are two big sections, a large bar restaurant which serves pretty good food and Sunday Roast, and also a large separate sports bar area with multiple big TV screens, pool, and Shuffle board. Good place to watch sports, a drink with friends, or to go for meal.

Came for a meal with partner and daughter, and we all had an amazing meal, the manager? (Lady with black hair in high ponytail) Behind the bar was a very friendly lady and was even able to get an answer from my autistic daughter, a leak in his self-ha, would happily visit again if we had this end down again xx

We're not from around this area so googled a pub to eat at and found this one, and we're so glad we did. The staff were all friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. The food was really good, we had the big fish and chips and normal fish and chips which were amazing, 2 kids meals which were great value for money and a chicken burger which was good too. Would highly recommend this pub and just wished we lived closer!

"Owner rude and arrogant! And you can’t trust them and they won’t make your order right by just saying too busy to make it right! I called in to make a booking but told no tables available but I could place an order for takeaway so I ordered two gluten free pizzas. I also asked what size are the gluten free pizza crust and was told 11”. I was told I would need to wait 1 hour 30 minutes and I agreed. I ordered the Gluten free 11 “ crust as advised for one Olive Tree and one Garlicky . When I arrived, I asked the person with the pizzas to confirm the gluten free pizzas. She looked a bit worried and said they were not gluten free. I asked the other girl if I would have to wait another 1.5 hrs and she said they would expedite my pizzas. The owner came over and said he had two vegan pizzas for 8:30 pm and I said that is not what I ordered. He said he was too busy to remake the pizzas. He said the girl that took the order said she didn’t remember gluten free was ordered. As a Celiac , those are the first words out of my mouth when I order any food and I also inquired the size of the gluten free crust and frequently they are pre-made and sealed and I was told they are 11”. He would not remake the pizzas as he said he has to trust his staff. So he implies the customer are lying and uses it as an excuse to not make it right. It doesn’t excuse not remaking the pizzas correctly as ordered gluten free as I was told a few minutes earlier. I assured him I ordered both pizzas gluten free and my wife came in and also confirmed as she heard me place the order on the phone. I realize this pizza must be well done and popular but not to remake the pizzas and imply me a liar and refusing to remake them is unprofessional. I find his behavior arrogant, rude and unprofessional and just because he went to Italy to learn how to make pizza doesn’t make him a good owner and manager. Hopefully, he won’t blow off this review but learn from it. Always make it right for your customers! And never insult your customers! It also suggest he doesn’t care about his customers because he is too busy. He walks away and just repeats he has to trust his employees. Poor excuse for not making the pizzas as ordered! Employees can make mistakes and as a Coeliac I will also double check as I did when I came to pick up the pizzas. I would advise Coeliacs to not try these pizzas as you can’t trust them to make them to your order. Peace be with you! Dietary restrictions You cannot trust this place to make your gluten free as ordered and they won’t remake it if they made it wrong and just say I have to trust my staff. Very Poor attitude from an owner and a bit arrogant! Customers don’t appear to be important and must be lying if they get an order wrong."
