"In the gold flower my better half and mine will report to Gastroguide for good 10 years. In the normal case we come to the lunch table in the holiday weeks, in the evening we never managed to get hurt. For the Gastro Guide Hinterkopf: Weekly days there is an offer here: soup or spring roll free and a lunch dish. This ranges from the vegetarian dish (approx. 5,50 €, fish dish to various meat dishes (up to approx. 9,50€). As an appetizer, I usually take a spring roll. Crispy, filled with some minced meat and also fresh vegetables and always tastes very delicious. The restaurant is located in Mannheim North in the Sandhofen district. From the center of the district, the Sandhofer Stich, there is also the tram stop of line 3, it is about 5 minutes walk to the small restaurant. The restaurant China is a small corner house (Ecke Karlstraße / Domstiftstraße). You can park there on the side street. There are no direct parking spaces that belong to the restaurant, but what never bothers us, on the side streets there are usually enough parking, so also today. In service is usually the well-trained son of the house, from time to time also the mother waits. Both make this always our full satisfaction, the son is more talkative to keep the mother, but sympathetic and attentive. At the entrance the waiter came and greeted us with a handshake. At the last visit, after payment, we held a 10-minute conversation about home cooking specialities. The second sentence today: “We have Phoo Bo there, you need to order, very horny”. Are these the new pictures of my ZTE 10 flagship, which has been in my possession for two weeks? My better half takes lunch. Before the spring roll, then Chop Suey. Lunch offer for 5,90. I decided to become the appetizer for Phoo Bo (5 Euros, the main course I chose baked chicken with peanut sauce (8.90 from the standard card. Spring roll and Pho were served first. Spring roll as always very delicious, not too fat, crispy baked. Let's go to the Pho – the Vietnamese miracle against Wehwehchen. The soup should have magic powers, well comparable to the German chicken soup. As in the German chicken soup there are also many good things in a pho – coriander is good for stomach and intestine, the vitamin C in the lime helps for example, colds, and in beef there is a lot of zinc that strengthens the immune system and acts anti-inflammatory. Curtain on, a photo of the Pho: Pho Bo as an appetizer The taste great, as the Junior Chef does not promise too much. Sauer spicy, in the finish after star anise, taste the herbs, the juicy boiled beef. Great. After ten minutes of waiting, the main courses came. The Chop Suey Chop Suey is beautifully balanced. The meat juicy, the vegetables not cooked, the sauce reminds of Asia sauce. My chicken was super crispy, the picture doesn't deceive. Golden crispy, the case. Butter tender and juicy the meat. But my peanut sauce had peanut sauce with air to fight strongly with the chicken. It obviously lacked the bumps, the sharpness, the taste of the snicker. So we're going to a 4.5 today. Cleanliness is increased in the restaurant. There's nothing to complain about here. Overall, the device is a bit cheesy, but still coherent in itself. The Chinese Mahjong Klimper music ensures positive mood. Conclusion: Here you never do something wrong at noon. The menu has recently shown that lunch is valid from Monday to Sunday. If not now, wan(n tan ?"

"On April myself and my boyfriend went to this pizza place because they offer vegan options. We were greated by a visibly annoyed person who was also the server/cook. He was rude to us from the moment we got there. We finally received our...order and suddenly, as I took a bite out of my VEGAN pizza , I tasted fish and two small little bones. I immediately spit it out and ran to the bathroom to rinse my mouth. I’m an ethical vegan and having this happen is absolutely heartbreaking. I started crying. My boyfriend went to tell the guy what happened and he came angry at me, put his finger in my plate, picked out the piece of fish and tasted it and said “fish, that’s impossible !” The couple next to us said that they had anchovies on their pizza and the fish in my pizza it’s proably from them.... We continued talking to the cook and he was extremely aggressive and unapologetic, we explained to him that for us eating any animals is like him eating dog meat. He inauthenticly apologized for making me cry and I said that I don’t accept a false apology. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant and the rudest server/owner/cook I’ve ever encountered. He is now publicly claiming we are from a competitor restaurant trying to make his business look bad?? Instead of apologizing and taking responsibility he is making this even worse by lying ! I hope whoever decides to visit this restaurant catches him in a good mood, otherwise you’ll have the most awkward and weird experience you could eve encounter. And if you’re vegan, expect him to spit in your food or find a piece of animal flesh."

"Update: food still 5/5 I got to try the breakfast setup (the Paris one), very nice! Salmon was my fav, and then the small portions but abundance choices would fill you up in the end. The other thing i tried was their autumn specials. A pumpkin aperitif was okay. But the pumpkin flammkuchen was amazing. My friend also got the rouladen and said it was one of the best meal he had. Food:5/5 I ordered the lasagna bolognese (got myself a box of salad since it was a lunch time promo) and a slice of Frankfurt crown cake. The lasagna was superb, i liked it. Good portion, meaty bolognese, consistency of the the tomato as well as the bechamel sauce was great, and on the bottom there was this crusty layer, i would guess it involved some cheesy layer wow, me likey. The Frankfurt crown cake was great, at first i thought it was too sweet but not really when you got the jam layer, it was pretty well balance. The buttercream was light, and the nut layer was great. Will try for other menu later in the future. Service: 5/5 It was quick and to the point. I can see that they were quite busy, despite the pandemic situation, which was a good signal for them. On my visit, there was a lady who seemed to be a regular and the staffs were greeting her politely, super nice. I tried to make an order in german but maybe my german was unrecognizable that the owner just switched to english but i think the positive side is that the foreigners can rest assured they can converse in english easily here."

"This property is developed around a concept similar to Starwood's W Hotels: A central location, a cool street-level lounge and restaurant with lots of non-guest traffic, and nicely-decorated rooms.Bottom line, I did not dislike the place, but did not like it either. I left with the impression that Management cuts corners. Just as an example, as a hotel guest, you're treated like any other patron when trying to secure a place in the lounge or at the restaurant, which can be pretty frustrating at peak hours, as the place is really busy. Staff, while being courteous, is young, probably not too well paid, and clearly under trained. Kitchen staff also looked young and not too experienced (my breakfast omelette was proof). Just as an example, I had 4-5 interactions with the same receptionist over 2 days, and while courteous indeed, she was far from being engaging or make you feel valued as a guest. Not a single smile or warm word.Rooms are nice (they look better on pics than they actually are), but have cheaper mattresses and bed linen, a very poor selection of English TV channels, and a meager, middle-of-the-road selection of amenities in the bathroom. Towels were also sub par.Breakfast is very nicely laid out and displays a good spread in terms of variety, but the quality of food was below par for the price paid.A night at the Syte will set you back around 200 USD, and Mannheim being Mannheim, not Manhattan, the Syte is overpriced for what it is. Probably the result of little competition in town."
