"War sehr spontan unser Besuch in diesen Restaurant, aber sehr gut. Habe was gegessen, was nicht auf der Karte stand, aber ein Italienisches Gericht Spagetti Carbonara bestellt und es wurde mir zubereitet. Sehr lecker ... Es ist zu empfehlen... Our visit to this restaurant was very spontaneous, but very good. I ate something that wasn't on the menu, but ordered an Italian dish called spaghetti carbonara and it was prepared for me. Very tasty... It is recommended..."

"My husband and I live just a few miles from Nagold. We have dined at Osteria da Gino three times and have never been disappointed by his abundant Italian style hospitality. Not only is the food fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared; it is also served...with personal style and panache. Don't go there expecting pizza. This is a place for pasta, salads, and beautifully cooked meat and fish dishes. Dessert is also a treat. Gino and his staff do not speak English, which I find rather refreshing. And while there is a menu in existence, when we've gone, he's basically just asked us how we've felt about whatever it is he has on hand. He's always friendly, funny, and welcoming and for all you get, the prices are also very reasonable. My husband and I usually pay about euros a person for several courses and wine. We spend several hours enjoying the meal in Nagold, which is a really cute little town. I recommend Osteria da Gino's for couples and groups of friends, though I have personally witnessed Gino taking great care of his canine guests, too. I am sure he also caters to kids, though I have never seen them eating there. Highly recommended"

"Our family was craving Greek food and was pleasantly surprised to find a Greek restaurant in our area of the Schwarzwald. When we arrived, on a week night at 8pm, the restaurant was full. We were greeted at the door immediately by the proprietor and welcomed warmly. We waited about 10 minutes for our table but it was well worth the wait. At our request, the owner recommended a wine for us and we ordered appetizers and main dishes. I was skeptical about the wine because I have never had a Greek wine that I wanted to drink again. The wine was very nice. Sauvignon Blanc blended with a traditional grape from Santorini. I would certainly order it again in our next visit. The appetizers arrived quickly and were fresh and delicious. Pan fried feta, fresh calamari grilled to perfection, and eggplant with tzatziki. Our main course selections ranged from lamb to pastizio to swordfish. The lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. The pastizio tasted like someone's Yia Yia was in the kitchen and was some of the best I have ever had. The really special thing for me though was the swordfish. Fresh saltwater fish is hard to come by in this area of Germany. For sure this fish came fresh from the Paris fish market right to our table. It was a huge piece of fish for the price and was expertly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. I would return just for that. All of our entrees were accompanied by a mixed salad and small fried potatoes. Everything was delicious. The portions were very generous. I would have definitely been satisfied with a salad and the calamari appetizer. The children ordered the pastizio and I would definitely suggest this dish for children, but next time they will split one order as we came home with an entire meal. No problem. We had it for lunch the next day and it was as good, if not better than the night before! Just the smell of it when I took it out of the refrigerator was awesome. The restaurant owner was very friendly and concerned with our experience and pleasure. He rounded out the meal with small glasses of ouzo for us and gummy bears for the children. The entire meal and experience was delightful and we will definitely return. If you're looking for Greek food in the Black Forest region this should be your choice. You won't be disappointed."

"Wir besuchten die Eisenbahn am 04.03.2017 um ca. 16:30 Uhr, also zu einer ungwöhnlichen Tageszeit für warme Küche. Hatte sich halt so ergeben.Da draußen angeschrieben war, daß es durchgehend warme Küche gäbe, gingen wir rein. Natürlich war nichts los, lediglich am Nebentisch saß ebenfalls ein Pärchen.Meine Frau bestellte ein Cordon bleu vom Kalb mit Kroketten und Salat. Dazu bestellte sie zusätzlich Bratensauce.Als Vorspeise wählte sie eine Maultaschensuppe von der Maultaschenkarte.Ich bestellte einen Zwiebelrostbraten mit Pommes und Salat. Keine Vorspeise.Die Bedienung war freundlich und hatte mit Änderungswünschen keine Probleme. Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Herzlichkeit erwartet. Aber vielleicht war sie noch nicht warm gelaufen, war ja noch früh am Tag.Der Zwiebelrostbraten war super. Prima Sauce, schöne Schmorzwiebeln. 1A-Garpunkt. Medium-Rare wie bestellt, trotzdem durchgehend warm. Ganz toll.(Allerdings konnte die Bedienung mit "medium-rare" wohl nix anfangen. Als ich "medium-rare" sagte, bestätigte sie das mit "medium plus". Das kam mir verdächtig vor und ich sagte nochmal, daß ich es zwischen medium und englisch wolle. Das hat dann auch geklappt...).Die Pommes waren in Ordnung, der gemischte Salat üppig: Krautsalat, Karottensalat, Kartoffelsalat, Gurkensalat, grüner Salat. Darauf roher Paprika, Tomaten, Maiskörner und viel Schnittlauch. Der Kartoffelsalat war sensationell, den Tomaten fehlte leider Salz und Pfeffer. (Salz und Pfeffer war auch nicht am Tisch, die Bedienung außer Rufweite).Das Kalbs-Cordon-bleu war schön fluffig paniert. Panade aus selbstgemachten Paniermehl. Sehr üppig gefüllt mit einem schönen Schinken. Dazu selbstgemachte Kroketten und der gleiche Salat wie oben beschrieben.Die Brühe der Maultaschensuppe war gut mit viel Schnittlauch, die kleinen Maultaschen darin leider etwas zu fest.Die vegetarischen Gemüse-Maultaschen von der Empfehlungskarte wurden von dem Herrn am Nachbatisch sehr gelobt.Fazit: Wir würden wiederkommen und wieder Zwiebelrostbraten und Kalbs-Cordon-bleu bestellen. Mit selbstgemachten Kroketten. Oder was von der Maultaschenkarte."
