"I telephoned during the day to ask if they were delivering.. they said no which I accepted. Half an hour later the manager phoned me and asked if I still wanted delivered food. I was starving so I was very pleased to have placed an order. The approx delivery time was an hour but he said he'd try to get there sooner. Hour later manager said the driver was just walking out of the door. I live less than 10mins drive away. 20mins later and driver is still on his way to me!! 1hr 40mins lata the driver is apparantly outside! 2hrs later and I had to finally cancel the order. Manager offered to give me the food for £10 which I stupidly accepted! Manager actually delivered the food himself!! Food was awful, brown lettuce, rock hard, cold stale chips and chicken burger, sauce on chicken (which was sizzling hot) was undercooked and only half of my order in bag!!! I AM NEVER EVER GOING THERE AGAIN! RUINED MY DAY AND APPERTITE."

Awful staff muggings regularly happen outside this establishment and CCTV camera apparently never works. Unsafe place to visit after dark. Avoid!

I have visited this restaurant several times and it is absolutely delicious. I was very happy with the food I received, it was brilliant. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive to all your needs. I highly recommend going there, you will be very satisfied.

This is the worst chicken shop I have ever been to. Have you ever been to Nando's, paid for your meal, and then been told that you have to pay extra for your sauce? They only give you half a teaspoon of sauce for 30p. Places like this should not be allowed to operate on our streets and rip people off.

Decided to try here after a recent re furb and was left bitterly disappointed. The place was extremely dirty- tables not cleaned and much on the floor. Ordered a Giant Chicken Fillet burger which took an eternity to arrive and when it did it was completly tasteless along with lukewarm chips. Will not be trying here again.

dirty place gross chicken pervy staff! ive seen the staff coughing onto their clothes, ive seen them drop a cloth on floor pick it up and use it, ive seen a filthy rag being used in preparation of food. the chicken is bland and slightly smells of bleach and slimy!! the cooks blatantly perv on women who go in it is disgusting.

This is a great spot if you enjoy peri peri. I strongly recommend the tasty rice, with hot chicken strips. If you eat in you get a real plate , cutlery and nice side salad. The stock levels can be hit and miss at the end of the night , but go for what ever they have. It's very tasty. Staff are friendly , and nothing is too much trouble , enjoy !

I called and placed an order for 5 work colleagues an myself and was told the delivery time would be an hour. This wasn't ideal but we were all eating in so we could carry on with our work in the mean time. I called after an hour, an hour and 15, and hour and 25 mins and was told repeatedly that the deliver driver was on his way and that they were quite busy. I unfortunately had to go out of the office before the delivery came so went without lunch. I have spoken to my work colleagues this morning and they all complained about the quality of not only the chicken but all of the sides. The chicken shop, now known as Peri Peri Original, has undergone multiple transformations and is currently operating as a franchise. Despite some negative past reviews, my experience dining there was quite satisfactory. I ordered the full hot Peri Peri chicken for takeout and although they were out of peri chips, the regular fries were still delicious. The food was flavorful and seemed freshly made, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Although I would be cautious about dining in if I were over 18, I will definitely return for takeout. "Yammin-Yummy says. ... 5 stars ... also a rarely awarded- 'beezybonus'. . . now, where do I begin to begin with such an amazingly appealing selection of freshly prepared foods that one would naturally expect that, already cooked, sitting, waiting for the next hungry expected customers. this can sometimes cook up to 10-20-50mins before they are placed in front of them. not here. freshly cooked. now this beautiful example of a traditional 'fish chip love affair, established over generations of Friday nights, was beautifully designed to tell their mouth, tonge taste panties, please attach their belts, and then it is about them an incredible arbor ride. ... one who seems to go up just as once they decided what's going in their mouth first (at least the crispy tail end) begins their incredible journey up; as their eyebrows increase during thinking, omg that 's sooo different good, light, crispy teig as I've never tasted in my 37 years since the beginning in the food industry. And then I made the mistake of dipping my squid in the homemade tartaric acid sauce. that is when the 1st massive fear happened, as I thought, oh my days; the better then mean, re-entry, deeper, actually cure my wrist action, to ensure maximum absorption of this sweet/creamy/tart/caper filled taste, as I reached for a chip to accompany, strengthen the excellent experience I thought stupid would be a 'standard thing'. Now I took care of you like this, but I have seen on my chips a few each mouthful was an experience, depending on how I stacked the fork, hahahaha. the fish was so fresh that I was looking on my teller sand. ... to dedicate a joy to each chip. ... the muddy heaps, normally warmed, not microshaft to a mass-hotter-then-the-sun, went a tasty bite, and quickly also, for once. the lemon shattered haddock had to be tied to the plate, because this teig was so light that it almost raised to the deck. but as soon as this handmade tasty tartaric acid sauce meets, any responsible 'handler-of-the-fork', wants to make sure that its only trajectory can be swallowed in their waiting swallow. It was so good, I couldn't stand to leave a single diesel and with this tartaric acid sauce, which even made a bulky chip, was nothing left, I was ashamed to ask the cook the recipe for 'this sauce', as he made such a light oil-free beautiful teig. the staff is very attentive, courteous, with a beautiful large sitting area also. get yourself here quickly bungalows to make an ordinary experience, in an excellent exciting eating expedition into a court that we all know so well, but so different. ... enjoy."

"The food was amazing! I’ve known about this restaurant for a while but only just decided to go last minute and boy was it the best last minute decision I made. First of all the staff are amazing. Abigail our waitress was really friendly and knew the menu well but also was able to relay feedback from other customers about particular dishes which I thought was a nice touch. The chef at the main cooking station was also very friendly and knowledgeable. A man who I believe was the owner was really friendly and you can see that he looks after his staff as the same attitude and friendliness filters down through to the rest of the team. Now time for the food! The food was absolutely sensational! We tried a few different dishes I’d recommend the halloumi which was just insane it had a nice sauce and was cooked in a way that I’ve never experienced! The beef kofte just bursted with flavour I was expecting flavour but not to this level, I literally had a euphoric moment when my eyes rolled to the back of my head! There was also a lamb dish which was amazing it had a really nice purée and was cooked to perfection . Oh and the olives, easily the best olives I’ve had. I’ll l 100% come back again and try more dishes!!!!"

"This place came highly recommended, now I know why. We got a lovely friendly welcome, offered a coffee straight away. The staff are helpful and attentive, with the chef checking on our meal to make sure we were happy. A nice menu with a good...range of options to choose from. I had the pancakes with honey, fruit and yoghurt. Plenty to eat, looked and tasty lovely. The hubby had poached eggs on toast with bacon and beans, which he said was very good, when he didn’t have his head down, tucking in. Out of town, so very easy to park. All round, great place."

"The staff are so attentive and friendly. The service is so quick and for the price I think the experience is so good! The cocktails are so refreshing n yum!! We had a cheeseburger while my boyfriend had the truffle burger which we all thought was one of the best burgers we’ve eaten! The best thing on the menu was definitely the fried chicken, which is breaded in rice crispies, 10/10! We also had the loaded tater tots which were insane. Definitely one we’ll always keep going to, just wish the burger nights were all week!!"

"It is beautiful in here: the bright orange napkins and the tangerine tablecloths; the light passing through electric dark blue glass on the ceiling. The warmth of light from orange and yellow glass flowered light fittings and the dull bronze of lanterns with lace-like cutout patterns. The shine of plates on the wall that are decorated with intricate patterns or desert scenes. The brightness of the sun coming down from skylights. The warmth and sheen of brown wood and the gentle drape of red tassled curtains with gold detailing. The sweetness of single tulips on each table. The chatter of diners and clink of cutlery against crockery. The heat of the tagine radiating towards your skin as it is placed before you. The delicious smell you can't help but lean over the plate to inhale for a good couple of minutes. The warmth of the smile of the man who brought the food and attended to me.
