"We had a meal on a Tuesday night the bar was busy with walkers and dog owners. The atmosphere was Lovely and the staff exceptionally friendly and approachable. The food double burger) was generous and tasty so generous it hardly fits in...its basket', loos were clean and well equipped COVID rules in place too, Prices were very reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed Watching the squirrels play in the large grassed area was a bonus. "This establishment is a great find. There is adequate free parking at the back of the establishment which is situated in a pleasant shopping area. The service was excellent and the coffe and teacake were superb. My only complaint is that the coffe cup was a little too small but would definitely re-visit."

"This is a lovely restaurant in caldicot, it's the sort of restaurant that you forget where you are until you leave, the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, great for a cosy meal, the wine menu has a great selection and the food menu is great plenty to choose from and there is something for everyone, the only thing I'd say wasn't great was the coca cola it's £3.20 for a large coke which is fine however it tastes like the own brand cola from Asda which is 35p for 2 litres it's not very nice at all, probably a lot better with alcohol. Over all I'd really recommend this restaurant, it's welcoming and very well presented."

"I have a gluten sensitivity and was excited to order a jacket potato when I went out to celebrate my birthday with friends, but was disappointed to find out that it was no longer on the menu. The only option available for me was gammon, which was not what I had hoped for. I will not be returning to the Haywain, even though it is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from my house. "We use here for our India n takeaway and can highly recommend it. The food is very tasty, while not swimming in oil and jam-packed with meat. Have not sat in to eat, so I am unable to comment on that. They offer a discount if collected but if delivered we ha e only had to wait an hour. Parking: There is limited parking infront of the restaurant so use the towns general parking lot around the corner Service: Take out"
