Excellent location at teh start or end of the camino stage to Santiago on the Portuguese Camino. Lovely ambiance and food great. Loved the views from the terrace over the river.

My experience here is okay, not great. The room, a superior, is small, the price high for what you get and we have the amigos special rate. Breakfast mediocre, expected a better experience. Visualizza piatti

good restaurant with good service and good culinary options, that is, good. the dishes are quite online with the local cuisine and are presented in a very original way. the price quality ratio is very good and the local is very nice.

All the other paradores we have stayed at have a more elaborate breakfast. This one had bare minimum with bad coffee and watered down orange juice. Breakfast was included in our room rate but if it isn’t, don’t pay for it and go somewhere else.

This was a wonderful place for our El Camino group to stay for 2 nights. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms are clean w/a super bathroom, it’s light and airy, The breakfast is delish, views are great. My only suggestion is since breakfast doesn’t start til 8, it’d be good to have a coffee/tea maker in the room. Visualizza piatti

The service is superior, food very good and the hotel itself perfect. Its a bit of a walk if staying in town but a nice one through gardens and old walls one way and along river the other. This is a hotel restaurant so lacks the ambiance of a smaller restaurant, but we enjoyed it a lot. Breakfast was fantastic many choices.

We were crossing from Portugal to Spain as part of our Camino de Santiago walk. Before reaching the historic city centre of Tui a sign for Pilgrims Menu for 15€ (without wine) attracted our attention outside the Parador. The place has great views and the options in the menu were reasonable. Certainly a great value for money. It happen to be a public holiday and the place was busy, translating into a slight slow service.

Our meal included a variety of starters, beautifully presented, including croquettes, melted cheese on toast, and octopus salad (served in shot glasses), which was divine. The main course was black pork cheeks served over pureed sweet potatoes. Very tasty. Breakfast the next day was less impressive, though fine, and the breakfast staff were a bit snarky, insisting that groups sit in certain areas, even though the dining room was hardly crowded.
