"The best evening restaurant in Scotland, with excellent atmosphere, service, food quality, and wine. The rooms are nice, with a lounge area on one level and beds and bathrooms downstairs. The restaurant is in a separate building from the rooms, and while they are side by side, breakfast is served as room service and is quite disappointing. There are no cooked meals, just a continental breakfast with fresh croissants, toast, coffee, tea, etc. It is fine, but after such a great dinner the night before, it is really underwhelming."

Fantastic service and incredible food. Expensive so would recommend for a special occasion. We took a package deal with overnight stay. No bar area or shared public areas so felt safe throughout

Excellent. First visit to The Peat Inn hope it's not the last. Beautiful airy restaurant, looking out onto beautiful manicured garden. Food exceptional,staff knowledgeable, attentive without being obtrusive. First taste of Caviar, razor clams,sliced scallops with radish top with caviar- Fab. Wonderful birthday experience. Thank you

the peat inn is a bit “our locals”. not exactly their cheap corner inn, but the next to the houses of the great British restaurants that we like best. and for its category and quality, it will be their briefcase happy and also they themselves if they are in the warm front with the fireplace, greeted by one of the most charming service teams in the world.

Enjoyable and reasonable place for overnight stay coupled with Michelin star quality food. Rooms are of good quality with king sized beds. French windows overlook the picturesque garden. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and non flashy. But you are there for the food and that doesn't disappoint. Good seasonable ingredients used to a good effect with a Scottish feel. Good portion sizes for a tasting menu. Couple this with matching wines, and good company and the night will be enjoyable.
