Fabulous meal. I had the Hunters Chicken with real chips. The brownie was one of the best I’ve ever tasted and very well presented. Staff were friendly. Covid friendly. Will be a regular when in the area.

We visited here when the strict covid guidelines were in place. The service was fantastic, felt really comfortable and safe! Lovely warm welcome, quick service and delicious food. Staff on hand to assist and lovely atmosphere in the pub.

Lovely friendly attentive staff. The food was well presented and tasted delicious there were diffrent meals orderd and each one was faultless so impressed book sunday lunch there before leaving Well done to the staff for a warm welcome and affordable enjoyable food

Newly refurbished and looking a lot more modern and cleaner. We had lunch last week which was lovely and coffee/ cake this week. Lovely homemade cakes, freshly brewed coffee, which did the job. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Thanks and see you next week I’m sure...ha.x

This is a regular hotspot for my friends and I! We tried different coffee shops and cafes in South Wales and none of them have been as good as The Penny Farthing! Serving staff are always so friendly and welcoming! Food is great! Well priced!...And the interior is super cosy! You don’t want to leave! Couldn’t recommend enough! We won’t go anywhere else for our catch ups! Thank you Penny Farthing!

Visited the penny farthing with friends for a lovely meal before going on the Hensol castle distillery for one of their gin tours. We were greeted by such lovely staff who were super friendly so helpful. Had a delicious meal, mine was the chicken...curry with naan bread mango chutney. Really good prices and a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend the Penny for a really delicious meal! And we will be going again soon ! Thankyou to all the lovely staff .

Booked online for pm but waited minutes because there wasn’t a table available . We kept getting told it wouldn’t be long and we would be seated, eventually we were told by a one of the staff with one hell of an attitude...that the clock was fast as if we were stupid . She then proceeded to tell us that everyone was on their deserts and she couldn’t rush anyone as she would not do that to us either. Fair enough but we hadn’t even complained but that attitude was enough for us to exit and not return.

Went in and greeted by staff. Didn’t feel comfortable with the table layout and the staff walking around with masks around their chins, wear them or don’t. Ordered drinks and weren’t ready to order food which seemed to be an inconvenience for the guy taking...our order. Decided after this first interaction we would have our drinks and leave, so as another member of staff came over to take our food order, I said we would just have our drinks please. I got huffed at and eye rolled as they walked away, to then have to return and collect our menus. Paid for our drinks and left, would not visit again.

The food was OKAY We were made to feel like a massive hinderance to the staff. I'm very sorry for buying coming to your place for food and buying overpriced cocktails. The general attitude of both waitresses were as if we were not wanted. They...looked at us like pieces of rubbish. We just had food and a drink and left. A blond waitress passive aggressively asked can you I get you anything else with a horrible look on her face. She then got the bill but didn't bring the card machine, then disappeared behind the scenes for minutes avoiding eye contact to not have to come bring the machine so we could pay. She eventually brung the machine with another horrible look on her face of pure disgust....
