"Das gastronomische Erlebnis im Villino war zweifellos eine Delikatesse für die Sinne. Von der eleganten Atmosphäre bis hin zur vorzüglichen Küche und dem ausgezeichneten Service bot das Restaurant eine bemerkenswerte kulinarische Erfahrung. Wir waren vor sehr langer Zeit (15 Jahren+ schon mal hier und damals schon ziemlich begeistert von unserem Besuch. Doch der jetzige Aufenthalt im Hotel verbunden mit Restaurant Besuch hat unsere Erwartungen durchaus übertroffen. Zum Hotel: Dieses charmante, kleine Hotel vereint eine idyllische Lage mit einer herzlichen Atmosphäre und exzellentem Service. Die sorgfältig ausgewählten Details, von der eleganten Einrichtung bis hin zu den Blumenarrangements, trugen zur Entspannung und Erholung bei. Das herausragendste Merkmal des Hotels war zweifellos das außergewöhnlich freundliche Serviceteam. Jedes Mitglied des Teams strahlte eine aufrichtige Wärme und Gastfreundschaft aus, die unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich machte. Sie waren stets aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, und ihre herzliche Art machte uns das Gefühl, Teil einer großen Familie zu sein (klingt kitschig, ist aber so . Ah und dann war noch das Frühstück!! Herrlich! Kein Buffet, aber es gab alles was Herz und Magen begehren und ja, auch hier war der Service einfach perfekt! Schade war es nur, dass wir auf der Durchreise waren und nur eine Nacht geblieben sind! Aber wir werden wieder kommen."

"My wife and I went first time to this restaurant after recommendation from the place where we stayed overnight, some 3 km away.The beer-garden was nearly full and there were only three tables left when we arrived at 6pm. We sat in the sun, order a glass of Kerner wine (which was excellent) and a typical bavarian Weissbier. The menu showed Spargel and my wife ordered the same with chicken and I had a "Zwiebelriostbraten" )beef fillet with roasted potatoes and fried onions). Food was very good, the beef nearly to the point - as I ordered medium, it was a little overdone - but tasty and of excellent quality. We ordered some more Kerner wine and, unfortunately, had tp wait about 10 minutes until we received the new filled glasses. Meanwhile the whole beer-garden was filled up with guests and a lot of people had to go inside the "Gasthof" to have dinner as there was no place outside anymore.We had for dessert a "Süssser Traum" which was a home-made apple strudel with vanilla ice-cream and hot chocolate sauce. Nice to see that it was served with two spoons and forks without asking for it. My wife and I enjoyed the dessert and were a little unhappy with the espresso served afterwards as it was too much coffee with little foam and had nothing to do with the italian espresso.The waitress, a lady at around mid 40s, and another younger waitress seemed to be a little stressed because of the full beer-garden and therefore, maybe, the service was not what we expected. Still, the lady serving us had her nose a little too high up."

"Wir waren im Rahmen eines kleinen Urlaubs in der Region und waren durch die guten Bewertungen auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Wir wurden nett begrüßt und schnell bedient. Aperitif vorneweg (Hugo und Lillet wild berry) hat gepasst. Dann gab es Zwiebelrostbraten mit Käsespätzle (nicht ganz Medium wie gewünscht, aber sehr lecker, Spätzle sehr gut) und Spargel mit Sauce Hollandaise, kleinem Rumpsteak und neuen Kartoffeln (Spargel auf den Punkt, Sauce wohl selbstgemacht- sehr gut-, Rumpsteak Medium sehr gut und leckere Kartoffeln) sowie eine Pizza Salami (hauchdünn und kross, sehr lecker). Zum Nachtisch noch ein leckeres Panna Cotta mit Mangosauce. Bedienung und Service sind sehr nett, aufmerksam und flott. Auch Preis-Leistung hat gestimmt. Für den kleinen gab es sogar 3 Puzzle und Malsachen. In anderen Bewertungen wurde das Ambiente kritisiert. Wir fanden es gemütlich und voll in Ordnung. Auf der Toilette Wickelgelegenheit sowie Kosmetikartikel (Handcreme, Deo, Haarspray). Alles in allem voll zu empfehlen!"

"Dishes are freshly prepared, so please be patient, urges the menu. Nevertheless, two hours to order, eat and pay or two simple main courses rather overdoes it. Waitresses were energetic but somewhat disorganised. An ordered second bottle of water failed to arrive, and we were...not alone in twice requesting long-awaited bills. Other guests meanwhile were inconvenienced because the credit card machine was out of order. Surely restaurants should make this clear at the entrance if advertised cards are unavailable. Food quality was average: a venison goulash had perfectly tender meat in a rather thin sauce served with redcurrants and mini-dumpling “spaetzle.” I’d had better in a campsite restaurant. An ample “small” portion of spice-crusted salmon – the restaurant also offers large portions that might be enough to serve two – came with a floury cream sauce. Both the fish and goulash were rather salty. The dishes came with a varied side salad, and at 33 Euros including one bottle of water and 0.2 litres of the thin house red wine, the price at least seemed reasonable. The restaurant was full with locals, including card-playing regulars, so perhaps others have better experiences in this attractive, unpretentious inn."
