South Square Vegetarian Cafe

We had a family lunch here and the food was wonderful--fresh, tasty, and nutritionally balanced. A real joy. Staff were helpful and friendly. We will try to eat here whenever we are in Bradford.

We love coming here the food is always delicious and the staff are lovely. Today we ate homity pie, quiche, celeriac and apple soup. The salads are varied and far better than the usual limp lettuce salad other cafes serve. Great coffee and cakes too.

We frequent this restaurant often and can confidently say that it never disappoints. We started with a delicious winter vegetable soup served with toasted sourdough bread, followed by an incredibly light and flavorful gingerbread cake. Thank you to the staff for a great experience, you deserve a break!

Having dined at Plenty before, we were looking forward to a leisurely lunch. We both enjoyed a tasty roasted onion apple tart with their famous salads. I ordered a plum toddy and we both savored delicious dark woods lattes. For dessert, I had a gluten-free chocolate brownie. Now it's the perfect time for a walk to burn off those calories! We happened to be in Thornton and came across this lovely cafe. Although we hadn’t booked and it was busy, the person (owner? in charge very kindly moved a table so we could be seated. There was lots to choose from on the menu and it was delicious and was served with lots of salad. Nice pots of tea too with a choice of milks. Nice atmosphere too. We’ll definitely be back.

Plenty at the square is a little vegetarian/vegan gem. They always have fresh delicious food with a menu that changes depending on what seasonal food they have on hand. The team here are so welcoming, the kind of place where you know the staff genuinely want to get to know you and have a chat. The vegan chocolate orange cake is one of my faves and they have lots of other delicious bakes too. We hired Plenty to cater for our wedding, they were very professional and the food/cake/drinks were top notch. Such a lovely place, definitely worth a visit.

We come over from Skipton, think we’ve been 4 times in the last month and it’s superb. Cozy, not too noisy even when busy, radiators were blasting on an icy day which was good! Staff are really friendly but let you get on and eat their delicious food. I’ve had the Nourish bowl mainly because it was properly varied and tasty, not just a basic iceberg/tomato/cucumber salad with a bit of houmus. The menu isn’t extensive but it does change up a lot so my husband has gone for different things each time and enjoyed every time. Vegan options are good and they are really accommodating.
