this small place offers the best Mexican food on the street. they have many options and eating is always delicious. my favorite is the tortilla chips that they do, which are by far the best I ever had. they even packed them in togo bags. they highly recommend to try this place if ur ever in the opposite. The burrito was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. It's a great spot for a quick snack. This restaurant is more authentic than the one 200m away, Chilango. I believe Tortilla surpasses the upstart Chilango located further up Islington high street. The food is prepared more authentically and with greater attention to detail. The ambiance is much more laid-back and inviting, allowing customers to enjoy their burrito and linger for a while. In contrast, Chilango feels hurried and stressful.

My wife and I are both originally from California, which probably has the most authentic Mexican food outside of Mexico (in fact, many items traditionally associated with Meixco were actually invented in California, e.g. the burrito . Hands down and without a doubt, this place is the closest we've seen to California-quality Mexican food outside of California or Mexico. The food here is easily as good as almost anything you can find in the Mission district of San Francisco, and very obviously similarly styled (foil wrapped, huge burritos with sumptuous carnitas! .
