"When we first ate at the railway we were blown away by the food and the gin cocktails so much so we took our friends there on several occasions. Yes the food is very expensive for what you get but the quality was excellent so we didn't mind. However we discovered a new menu was now in place and so we wanted to see what was new. Sadly all our favourite Indian inspired food had gone and a more japenese inspired menu was in place. The selection of small plates was very limited along with the main courses. The most worrying thing was it felt like the new menu was even more expensive I mean £3 for a tub of crisps !!!! Don't get me wrong the food was good and the service was great but sadly the old menu was just far far better and with these prices we may well only come back for a gin cocktail."

March to dinner The reason why I give this a bad review is that they have changed the cook (left), the temporary one is obviously trying to deliver the same fine standard of kitchen that you can see in the kitchen. I love this place in Alderley Rand or it was. Please sort people! Thousands

This is my favourite place in Alderley Edge. The menu has been reduced and unfortunately 3 dishes weren't available which made it a bit restrictive. The food was till gorgeous though!! Again, the gin cocktails are just a few of what they had previously however the staff are great are going off menu and concocting interesting mixes! Love this place!
