many vegan options on the menu, all marked clearly. friendly staff. very clean pub with handsanitary on every table. reasonable prices. would definitely return!

I previously rated this place 1* as I didn't enjoy the food, but having been back again, I really enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend their vegan options very tasty! Updated from previous review on 2016-01-01

I had a great lunch, vegan sausages and maic with seasonal veg. everything was delicious and a really big part. yummy mulled apfel apfel zider and the whole bill came to £11. very recommend P.S extra points they play all adele’s best hits

This is a right proper boozer full of character. British at its best. The vegan options on the menu are quite astonishing such as ‘fish’ and chips, cottage pie, sausage and mash, breakfast bun, tempeh sundried tomato sandwich to name a few. Typical pub fayre. As we’d just eaten we had a couple of half’s of Hoegaarden. All vegan draught beers are labelled as such too.

This pub ALWAYS has vegan beer on. They also have multiple vegan mains so you can CHOOSE one you fancy!!! It's a cosy real ale pub right in The city centre. They also have discounts available for CAMRA members. Additionally-if you love to game but forgot your own, they have tons to chose from in the back! Never had a bad experience here and would definitely recommend

so impressed by the menu and the variety of options in the red deer plus she did vegan before it was cool. they do not always get it right (I remember some very large plates of tofu, without seasonal one because they are just trying new things and ready to experiment. not the sweetest meal of her life, but good honest pub food and a great place to sit at the fire, they enjoy a pint and tuck in a great meal

I love this understated pub. Vegan food is great, starters, mains and puddings. Good taste, portions and prices. The Southern Fried Tofu is delicious as is the vegan Sunday lunch. There are other yummy options too, tempeh and salad sandwich is a winner for me. To drink you will find vegan beer, herbal teas and coffee. Not sure if they had plant milk as I didn't ask. Then why not round it off with a board game. We tried Obama's Llamas!

We've eaten here many times, mostly with non-vegan friends and everyone has always been happy with their meals. They offer vegan Sunday roast, which is good but I think some of their other options are more flavourful (maybe because I've never been a Sunday roast lover). I've had their falafel wrap twice and it was great and my partner enjoyed almost all the other vegan option. The fries are also delicious, and they have a few vegan dessert options too.

We ate in here on a Saturday in January. This pub has been a star of the Sheffield beer scene since forever, and now it has Vegan food. The food is great, portions are generous and prices reasonable. All vegan options, including the beer, are clearly identified. I'd eat here again, and the beer is great. Came back today and ordered vegan fish and chips. Due to a slight miscommunication they brought actual fish out. However, the mistake was rectified with great good humour, chef went out to Tesco to get more stocks of tofu and we got a free round of drinks to compensate. The tofu fish n chips was outstanding, and the service here is just excellent. I will come here again. Third visit here tod...
