"This place is a big rip off. I entered the place to order for take out. I was greeted by one dude and I asked him if they have an English menu, then he asked me where are you from, I replied Dubai. He said oh I have this Arabic Menu for you. I checked the menu and placed the order and he told me it will take around 10 to 15 mins. I read some reviews saying this place is cheap but the prices I got is little bit high. I felt there is something wrong. So, I went and took the German menu and to my SHOCK the prices are different (I have Photos of both Menus). I did not say a word to them until the food arrived and he gave me the bill with the total of 32.9 EUR and I calculated my order with the German menu and the total was 26.7 EUR. A difference of 6.2 EUR, it is not that much but it is still a rip off. Just because I am from Dubai he's charging me extra. It is not right no matter what. When I confront the Manager about this he slapped me with his biggest Lie, saying he's charging me extra because the food he gave me is Halal. what a load of ****. Maybe he can sell me that lie with the chicken tikka masala but have anyone heard of "Halal" Nan Bread or "Halal" Dal Soup? I don't think so. They increased the price in the whole menu and 50% of that menu is Vegetarian. So, now Vegetable is also "Halal".I am not sure if they offer this menu to Middle Eastern people only or to all non German reading people.I hate places who discriminate by race. And to think about it, it is racist too."

We went there following trip advisor recommendation. One of the best Indian food we had. The tomato soup was tasty as well as the two other vegetarian dishes we had.

A wonderful restaurant with very friendly staff and amazing food. I have been a loyal customer for years and have never been disappointed. The Murgh Nilgiri is particularly good. Thumbs up!!!

The menu read that chicken tikka masala was the chef's speciality - and it was absolutely delicious! The food was as authentic as Indian food can get in Europe. Service was ok, staff was friendly and happy to explain and suggest some items on the menu. Nice relaxed atmosphere with the possibility of al fresco dining.

The best thing about Amber is the menu and the quality of food. There are many Indian restaurants in Munich, but not many of them offer such a wide range of Indian dishes, and even fewer can then really cook the dish as one would wish, to explore the Indian flavours. Whats more, there is a very nice atmosphere, and the service is also on a good level. Furthermore, as the restaurant is not in the city center, the price-performance ratio is very good.
