Restaurant Hotel Murten

Das Hotel im allgemeinen sehr ansprechend, aber die Zimmer - zumindest das ich hatte - renovier beduerftig. Zu erwaehnen waere das Erdgeschoss mit Speisesaal und aussergewoehnlicher Bar

We were tired from traveling overseas and this was an unexpected pleasure. The food was very good, the atmosphere is nice, and our server was very good. It was much better than any other restaurant in Murten.

Breakfast was just fine. We ate dinner there. The food was badly prepared. The cook used huge amounts of hot chili in the plate without telling us what causes massive choking. In addition, they have accused us of an order that we have not done and then have made us responsible for their fault. The customer is inevitable!

Nach dem Lichterfest in Murten hatten wir im Hotel Murten einen Tisch reserviert (Reservation an Grossanlässen empfohlen). Hier hat alles gestimmt, vom Empfang, zum Service bis zum Essen. Der Service war nicht gekünstelt, sondern sehr natürlich.Uns hat es Spass gemacht und wir werden sicher wieder Gelegenheit finden, dort einzukehren.

Since we had a long trip before we deceived having dinner at the hotel restaurant. The menu offered vegitarian, noodles, goats, pork and beef dishes. Cold or hot. Good selection of drinks such as local or Swiss wines and beers as well as international drinks. Service was fast and friendly (DANK YOU). All cheap among Swiss constraints. Nice place too.

wir haben zum wiederholten male unseren vor-silvester und silvester dort gefeiert und waren auch dieses mal nur voll des lobes. tolle ambiance, herrliche weine, grandioses essen (pastinakensuppe...sooo guet) und dann noch einen der schweizweit besten DJ's (merci michu) einfach so dazu. wer noch nie dort zu besuch war, sollte es sich nicht entgehen lassen. grandios!!

uns gefiel das moderne Restaurant sehr gut. Schöne Bar, hohe Räume, netter Service (wohl alles nur Schweizer). Feiner Cäsarsalat, interessante Weinauswahl im Offenausschank mit dem Risiko, dass die eine oder andere Flasche oxydiert, weil bei dieser grossen Auswahl Flaschen länger geöffnet sind und leise vor sich hinserbeln.Das Hotel: das Zimmer im 3. Stock war ziemlich klein - sauber und herzig - aber die Fr. 170.00 die dafür berechnet werden sind zu hoch.

What makes this restaurant so good is first, that they cater to vegans (it's even on a huge sign outside) and second, the friendly and dedicated staff. I enjoyed the salad and the quinoa burger was also tasty with a curry flavor (though the bun wasn't as good as I had hoped). Warning: tell them to not put the fake mayo on your burger if you don't want it. The staff were very friendly and when we asked to switch tables to get away from smokers, they were very happy to move us.

This is local food well prepared. Not a large menu and it's clear the place is striving to be more than a hotel restaurant. An elegant bread service with seaweed olive oil and hummus was delicious and my local perch prepared a la meunière was also very good. As strong as the food is it is ultimately a hotel restaurant as the service, though well trained, was hurried and the ambiance poor given all the servers were focused on setting tables for the following day and the clatter of plates etc was very annoying. No front of house to keep things in order this night perhaps I caught them on an off night. Go for the food though. Bordering on expensive given the entire experience.
