"Randomly discovered on the internet and quite positively surprised. We had a table reserved and were kindly on site in the 26th. Get up. The ambience somehow remained between the 70 80 years, but this is not to be judged as a disadvantage of the restaurant, because it is all well maintained and perfectly adapted to the building. The magnificent view over Schlei, Schleswig and the surroundings is unbeatable. Two lunches were ordered which were also brought after a reasonable time. The food tasted very good and the portions were also so big that the woman became sick. The price performance is understandable as obviously the foods were all used freshly. We weren't in the Vikingturm restaurant last time."

We enjoyed a delicious piece of cake, black forest and almond walnut, with our coffee on the 26th floor rooftop restaurant. Our vacation rental was on the 19th floor.

We were there for lunch on a Saturday. The food was in a very German style. Not my favorite but if you want something local, this is the right place. The view is nothing but magnificent. Staff speaks Danish.

Having arrived on a week day night with no reservation we were, however, seated at a window with a full view of the Schlei in the dusk. We chose the menu of the month which was fine and inexpensive but also a little boring with baked cauliflower dumplings, fine trout and a bit of a strange desert.

This is an excellent restaurant to take visitors to. the view is fantastic! The food is okay, but certainly not gourmet! Basic cuisine, perhaps a bit old fashioned, but the prices are reasonable and the view is priceless! There is truth that part of the joy of the view is that it is the only place in Schleswig where you CAN'T see the Wikingerturm!

God only knows how they got planning permission for this bonkers 26 storey building in an otherwise low rise picturesque town. Anyhoo, luckily they did cos it affords you amazing views from the panoramic restaurant at the top. Great value 12euro three course set menu, very friendly staff (tho not much English spoken so bring your dictionary or phrase book!). Food is solid decent German stuff. Very retro feel (black forest gateau for pudding!) which probably isn't deliberate but adds to the charm.

We went there for lunch during the week and hence benefited from the great offers this restaurant has: the dish of the day was salmon with mashed potatoes and a great deal for 6,50€. I had the March menu (a beet soup, beef with vegetables and potatoes as well a dessert for 16,50€). The food was good but not amazing. I recommend looking up the dish of the day beforehand and if you what they offer on that day, go there. We found the 3 course menu not that good and a bit overpriced in comparison to the fish of the day. They do have a diaper changing table and high chairs for little ones. Our daughter even got a kids themed napkin.

"It 's been a long time since we 've spontaneously eaten at Mühlenbach again. After the initial joy that we spontaneously got a table, the disappointment began with the second service person. She was very lacking in empathy, took the order annoyed, without making eye contact with the customer and left very quickly. True to the motto, the customers are annoying and if I leave quickly, then they won 't bother me. A lady like that doesn 't belong in the service, sorry Then came the food, a starter of baked soft cheese and salad. Everything okay. There was also a salad with my grill plate, in response to my comments that I had already had one, the nice service person said that salad is healthy, the salad was put on the table and it was gone again. The rice on my grill plate, which I was so looking forward to, tasted so artificially artificial that you inevitably had the feeling that you were eating a finished product. Very bad. The meat and fries were okay. My partner had the pork medallions with broccoli and fries. Fries okay, broccoli watery and one of the medallions not cooked properly. In short, it was a disappointment, when our nice waitress came to clear away and asked if everything was tasty, we explained our displeasure to her, she just looked, didn 't comment on what we said, she turned around without a word and disappeared like the others Sometimes too, again very quickly. The other colleague came over to pay. Conclusion from us: The Mühlenbach has clearly deteriorated in quality, both in the kitchen and in the service. You 're no longer on our agenda, which is a shame."
