"Don't be put off by how this restaurant appears from the outside. Once through the door everything becomes clear as to why it is number 1 in the area. Spotlessly clean and the kitchen on clear display, we turned up without a booking and although there was nobody in the restaurant (it was 6.30pm) there was some discussion about availability. I thought this was just a ruse in trying to persuade us about being busy. However, we were given a table and it quickly became clear that we had been very lucky. Within the hour the restaurant was full to the rafters and people were turned away. The food (all local produce) was delicious especially the truffade which we had never tried before. If you are in the area, this little restaurant needs to figure highly on your agenda but, unlike us, booking may be necessary as they really do get busy."

"The kitchen is super good Meal taken on Father's Day Sunday. It was a little crowded. Apart from the service of the restaurant manager as well as another waitress, the rest of the staff were completely screwed (perhaps staff reserved for extras , but they were completely drowned out and ineffective. We arrived at 12:30 p.m. and left at 4 p.m. I don't think I've ever waited so long for a meal at a restaurant. Fortunately there are activities outside to occupy the children between 2 courses (ping pong, tree house, pétanque, moolky, cycling, table football..... and that was appreciated all the more as the view from the outside is magnificent. However, there are few parking spaces in front of the restaurant and the prices are a little high."

"Although inhabitant at riom, we did not know this place because we are rarely at our home on noon. So we wanted to discover this place for once it was possible. We're not disappointed. The welcome is warm. small map but beak quality dishes. I took a truffle of and a lost caramel bread, a real treat. We were able to take a little wine in the glass, excellent as well. prices are very correct for the quality of the dishes. the place is warm and well decorated. I recommend and come back without hesitation when I could."

"Regular passages in this brewery and always a lot of satisfaction A warm welcome, efficient ordering and impeccable service The dish of the day at 10€90 cod at the lyonnaise nickel and copier served with a small salad well seasoned and very fresh ... well presented and copyy Italian salt. To see again: the small glass of beer ..20cl makes a little light and child menu with no proposed vegetable accompaniment.."

"La Mangoune est très bien placée, juste à la sortie d 'autoroute A 89 au nord de Clermont Ferrand, au milieu de la zone commerciale de Riom. Emplacement idéal pour tous les voyageurs ainsi que les employés et commerciaux de la zone. Sa cuisine est de style brasserie avec une prédominance auvergnate... c 'est ce qui nous a attiré pour de déjeuner au milieu de notre long voyage autoroutier. La terrasse nous a accueillie agréablement avec des tables bien espacées, par ce beau jour ensoleillé si rare en cet été 2024 morose !... Tout était bon, simple, sans chichi et de bonne qualité et bien copieux ! La planche charcuterie était largement suffisante pour représenter un repas complet pour nos appétits habituellement moyens... Le café douceur était un vrai café gourmand copieux comme tout le reste. Un vrai plaisir pour les gros mangeurs ! Le pichet de 50 cl de vin rouge était du Boudes local, agréable et gouleyant à souhait. Et bien sûr une bouteille d 'eau légèrement pétillante de St Geron auvergnate pour nous désaltérer. Bref, une bonne halte revivifiante et calme, que semblaient apprécier d 'ailleurs, les très nombreux convives autour de nous. L 'addition de 75.60 € pour deux est une autre excellente nouvelle pour nos portefeuilles débordés par l 'inflation actuelle !! PS si vous aimez l 'aligot, celui de mon voisin de table semblait excellente !!"
