"I called in for some quick coffees here while driving through and could not be more impressed by the staff. Although we had arrived before the store is actually open for business, the staff while prepping to open, noticed us and very kindly offered to get us coffees. Not a service I have got anywhere recently. They were polite, welcoming and prompt with the coffees, and we were on our way again. The beverages were good, my partner particularly liked the Americano. A little politeness and kindness goes a long way! If I could I would leave six stars for the staff here. Food: 5 Service: 5"

"Ventured into this establishment in search of a traditional Sunday lunch, choice of turkey, beef, lamb,or pork. Having chosen the lamb, I must admit it was one of the better Sunday lunches I have eaten out, lamb roast perfectly cooked, with a selection of 6 vegetables as well as a scoop of mashed potato,a roast potato and some cauliflower cheese and plenty of gravy. Others had the turkey and were equally as impressed. One course £8, two course £11, I don’t recall how much the three course was, possibly £15? Well worth the money. The normal menu was up on the blackboard too, and looked quite inviting, Will probably return to try their ‘rest of the week fare’, good quality meal, enjoyable visit. The bar is well stocked with a selection of beers, soft drinks and spirits."

"Visited during the eat out to help out scheme during August. Government website indicated this establishment was participating in the scheme but we were refused the discount and told the offer was not available until the following week. I then saw the Hangout advertising the scheme on Facebook, the day prior to us being there and inviting people to call in and get the discount. When I responded to this inaccuracy on f/book, my post was removed by the Hangout.I then wrote to the Hangout directly and was accused by Pen Lee of splashing bad vibes and making accusatory statements all over social media. They said they weren 't pulling a fast one or whatever I wanted to believe!I am bitterly disappointed that I was supporting a local business and got treated so shoddily and disrespectfully."

"This has to be the worse place I ever have had the misfortune to stay The room was quoted as ‘ deluxe ‘ four poster It was a cess pit and isn’t fit to be let , The room is dark and dank and smells dirty , the carpets are grubby , you can’t take your shoes off . The lamp didn’t work and the bed sheets were stained , the kettle was dirty as were the cups and the teaspoons . The bathroom was foul , mould all over the bath and behind the taps on the bath and sink , no hand soap- surely that’s imperative given the times we are in , the flannels were grubby , not as in been used but been left for ages , the towels were stained and the rubber in the shower door had at least a years worth of dirt in ground into it , the wall paper was coming off the walls which had mould . Service was very slow , seemed to be understaffed . I couldn’t in clear consciousness recomend this place to any one I’ve emailed them asking for a refund of 50 let’s see if they comply"

"I just feel compelled to reply, as a loyal customer, to LadyLuca. I sat in the bar area all day and early evening Sat 18th Jan. You’re right...it was heaving. Unheard of mid January, but that must say something about it’s popularity. We didn’t eat on this occasion so I wouldn’t dream of commenting under the heading “restaurant” as I didn’t order a meal much the same as you, it would seem. There was a superb atmosphere. The staff were great and the service was friendly. We moved our seats and squashed around our table to let others join in the fun. We made new friends and had a wonderful afternoon. The Angel will never turn away custom. This is a difficult industry, yet the current owners have enjoyed 25 years of success. Yes, there may be the odd compliant, that’s the nature of customer service, but you didn’t even eat here. Seems unfair #justsaying"
