"The Alt Lich was a pleasant little restaurant about 1 block from the main pedestrian street. With just nine tables in the main dining room, it was tastefully decorated, rather in a traditional style of a small German restaurant. We had called ahead for a reservation and were asked if we could move our reservation either an hour earlier or later because a large group was expected. This turned out to be a wise decision because the server was able to give both our party and the large party full attention. We had also indicated that we were celebrating a wedding aniversary and if we could have a table on the side and have it decorated. They complied and we found the table to be very nicely set up when we arrived. The service was excellent with the server waiting until we had comfortably finished a course before the next was served. Each dish was served at the appropriate temperature. The food was outstanding. The menu was all ala carte but the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. Two different soups were ordered, one a "baerlauch" (wild garlic/ramsoms) soup and the other beef broth soup with noodles. Both were outstanding. Baerlauch was in season and was new to me. It was essentially a light cream soup with pureed baerlauch, giving it a very subtle and unique taste, and containing two raviolis filled with baerlauch. The beef soup was clearly freshly prepared natural broth and was also outstanding. Three of the party ordered the Argentinian rumpsteak with roasted vegetables. The steak was about 4 cm thick and was perfectly cooked, having ordered it rare or "English" style. The roasted vegetables included a mixture of zucchini, green beans, red pepper with olive oil and baerlauch, perfectly cooked and mildly seasoned. The fourth person had a pork steak with roasted potatoes. The pork was also perfectly cooked and very juicy. A simple dessert of walnut ice cream was ordered as we all were comfortably full with the two courses. Of course, as we were in Lich, we had the local Licher beer which is always good. Overall, we had an extremely pleasant evening. I enthusiatically recommend trying this restaurant. I have eaten in many local restaurants throughout Germany and consider this one of my more memorable meals."

"Ich bin mit drei Freundinnen dahin gegangen und wir haben uns zwei Pizzen und zwei Döner bestellt. Am Anfang waren die Angestellten sehr nett. Als wir bezahlt haben, wurden wir gefragt ob wir unser Essen mitnehmen möchten oder Vorort essen wollen, wir haben gesagt, dass wir da essen möchten dann wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass man da keine Getränke von draußen trinken darf. Wir haben dann den Angestellten gesagt, sie sollen unser Essen doch einpacken. Als wir nicht wussten wo wir uns hinsetzen können um zu essen, haben wir uns doch umentschieden und haben uns im Laden hingesetzt. Dann hat uns der Mann quasi angeschrien und gesagt, dass wir „schlechte Werbung“ für den Laden machen würden, wenn wir „fremde Getränke“ trinken, obwohl wir nicht mal was zu Trinken hatten.Dann hat uns der Mann die ganze Zeit vom Fenster beobachtet und wir haben uns sehr unwohl gefühlt. Die Pizzasoße war viel zu salzig und der Teig war nicht durch. Und im Döner wurden Haare gefunden. Am Ende hatten wir alle vier Bauchschmerzen. NICHT EMPFEHLENSWERT"

"Schönes Ambiente. Leider waren die Speisen ziemlich enttäuschend und die Preis /Leistungsrelation nicht angemessen. Besonders schlecht war das Kalbsschnitzel. Unzureichende Fleischqualität, die mit einem Steaker behandelt wurde. Die Panade war so dick, dass sie im Ganzen abfiel. Für fast d 30, Euro eine Zumutung. Beim Duroc Kotelett waren die Kartoffel verbrannt und schwammen in einem Haufen Fett. Auch die Frische und das Dressing des Salat hatten erhebliches Ausbaupotential nach oben. Insgesamt eine riesige Enttäuschung."

"Das Ambiente ist mit den Tischen an der Wand in einem saalartigen Raum etwas nüchtern und wenig gemütlich. Die Servicekraft war freundlich, war aber, da sie Ausschank und Bedienung gleichzeitig machen musste, etwas gestresst. Die Knoblauchsuppe mit Lachseinlage war sehr schmackhaft. Eine gute Idee ist es, die Suppen in 2 Portionsgrößen anzubieten. Die Schnitzelportionen waren sehr groß, ertranken aber in einer Rahmsoße aus der Tüte. Die Spätzle waren unter den Schnitzeln und der Soße begraben und damit matschig. Besser wäre es, Soße und Beilagen gesondert zu servieren. Der Beilagensalat war okay, aber schien auch mit einem Fertgdressing angemacht. Die Preise sind moderat. Wer keine großen Ansprüche hat, großen Hunger auf Schnitzel hat und große Portionen liebt, kann hier hingehen."

"We liked eating food there. The map was a beautiful mix of traditional and more modern Italian dishes, delicious pizza and delicious carvings. Service well. After some time we were not there, we decided our Christmas dinner on 2nd holiday in Calabria. Hard mistake! As we found later, the card was completely changed. Now everything is trimmed with truffles, buckets and liquors on the upper kitchen. The prices are accordingly screwed into the height. Unfortunately, neither kitchen nor service meet this requirement. The fact that there is a shortened card on holidays is normal and completely okay. Unfortunately, all the carving dishes on which my husband and my father-in-law were so happy were sold out. Keep Lasagne and Pizza Toscana. Three lasagna came, 3x lukewarm and so a small part that a normal adult cannot be fed. The pizza didn't come first. After the lasagna was reheated from the kitchen at the table (not without comment, but without apology with raised eyebrows), the pizza also came. The lush edge (almost 1/3 of the whole pizza) carrot burned black and not to eat. For the bargain price of over 13, € per dish. I can't. No comment on the burnt pizza residue on the plate again. My note that I want to replace the burned pizza rim for a free espresso was shoulder-cracked. Weak picture. We're not coming back."
