"We decided to try out this restaurant for dinner. It was not very busy, with only 3 other tables occupied. The menu was not very extensive and written on a chalkboard, which meant we had to potentially disturb other diners to read it. The choices were limited, but my partner and I both ordered the rump steak, requesting it to be cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, both steaks came out more medium to well done. The flavor was still good though. For starters, we all ordered mushrooms, but the dips were just sachets of sauce like mayo or tomato, rather than garlic or a sauce served with the dish. The presentation of the starters could have been better. The staff were attentive and polite. Overall, it was a decent evening and we may consider returning in the future."

The Bell at Salhouse is a fantastic traditional pub which is very popular with the local people of Salhouse. Jackie and her team always provide this service which is very friendly I recommend this pub for folk who love a traditional pub.

We moored at Salhouse Broad and walked to the village, the pub is about 20 minutes away. The pub has recently changed ownership and is being improved, so no food when we visited. Great local atmosphere with friendly bar staff and good beer. Prices reasonable too. Dog friendly. We will return.

We went here with our visiting family from Australia. The food was excellent and we will for sure revisit. Drinks were very reasonably priced as was the food. Our choices were three from the specials board, all were good choices and the food was plentiful and very very tasty, highly recommend a vist.

For all of those supporters of local pubs out there The Bell Inn at Salhouse has restarted its quiz nights yet again, £1 per person with 50% of the entry fee going to the Benjamin Foundation.Little bit of everything for everybody from music to picture rounds and mixed topic quiz.Every Wednesday from 7.45pm to Start at 8pm.Combine that with some of the best value drinks in the area? I was told by some regulars that this pub has a new landlord. He was friendly and welcoming. Real ale was poured well and laced beautifully. The cheesy chips were well cooked and made from proper fresh potato, not frozen chips. Dogs were welcome.The landlord explained that he now has live music nights and is planning to improve the inside and outside. I'd certainly go back as the atmosphere was more friendly than others nearby and the price of a pint was realistic! One to watch.
