It's an awesome tapas restaurant. Great selection of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, tried some from each category, wasn't disappointed. Bit pricey but it's central London so what can you do

salzgarten was beautiful. a really good choice for some higher ende tapas options. a really good selection of dresses that were surprising, but also comforting and delicious. I would recommend the ink fish and the croquettes. the personal was friendly. it is a bit expensive, but as expected for this quality of the restaurant.

Enjoyed the tapas here, very good. Customer service was good once we were moved to a better table. Initially placed on a table by the thoroughfare by the stairs, but my husband asked for a better table, at first the waitress said they were fully booked (even though there were clearly empty tables) but another lady stepped in and then we were moved downstairs to a lovely booth. absolutely amazing every and every time I really can't recommend enough. their dishes are always very special and the presentation is absolutely beautiful, I guarantee that they are not able to get them anywhere else. you can absolutely say that the chef also has an amazing palate, their taste combinations are just something special that some should not work, but they do 100%. the place also has great ambiente and beautiful staff, I can really say nothing bad about them!

we enjoyed our evening here and recommend it very much. it is a higher end small teller tapas restaurant. we had 5 dishes, flatbread and a desert for both of us and that was a lot. the aromen and sauces are excellent. they order a flatbread as it is great to get the last piece of sauces. we started with the smoked burrata and spatula. followed by the chorizo, salmon and pig bell. our favorite was the grilled chorizo. I tend to vegetarian, but I enjoyed all the dishes. if they like chocolate, they don't miss the chocolate fond. I would have ordered another one.

really enjoyed our dinner here, loved as the waitress said: "I think that should be enough on her order" if we don't have a place for dessert (there were two of us and we ordered 8 items) instead of letting us get over order. very well prepared dishes with beautiful experimental taste mix. all were delicious, but the top 3 of our 8 I think were the black bell, grilled otopus and duck. the sharpstube had a nice mix of meat. the cocktails were also delicious! we had the main thing with a beautiful karaffe of tempranillo proposed by the waitress. happy to return to future. I managed to be seated without a reservation here, the staff were incredibly attentive, polite and respectful, they made this place so pleasant to visit. The highlight of my order was the gambas pil pil and the flatbread if I could eat that everyday, I would! The black squid ink risotto was unusual, rich in flavour but the crisp yet soft texture was lovely with the perfectly fried calamari. Wasn't too much of a fan of the octopus and the patatas bravas, the goats cheese fried courgette flower wasn't to my taste either. The buratta was a little sickly too but again these are just based off my pallete and not to say somebody else won't enjoy them. Presentation was beautiful for everything and...

TL;DR: Not worthy of the Bib Gourmand designation I was very disappointed with Salt Yard. We ordered five items and had mixed feelings about the food. Having been to a few other Bib Gourmand rated restaurants, I had high expectations going in. Our order was as follows: Courgette Flower, Slow-cooked Loch Duart Salmon, Burrata, Octopus the Pork Belly. Of the five items the Courgette Flower and Burrata were my favorites. Both dishes were quite nice, although I felt that they were a bit heavy with the honey on the Courgette Flower. The salmon was also good. tapas dinner was quite impressive. faster service also. the cheapest red was an affordable £23 and quite pleasant and light. the three of us ordered 6 tapas, which was enough when none of us were ravenous. the waiter recommends 2 to 3 tapas per person. the salt-chid brand was the first plate to arrive, and was rich and thrown with some tart tomaten as well as a sous vide runny eigelb. accompanying crostina were delicately thin and brittle, which was a beautiful contrast in the texture. trüffelmac and cheese had arrived next door. very tasty, but the sauce was somewhat too liquid for my taste. pasta could also have been firmer. again a good idea to texture in this plate, as it contained crisp...
