San Marcos - Menu

We stopped here for a drink on our walk across the valley from the Alcazar to the Vera Cruz church. Good local atmosphere, nice tapas, very reasonable prices. Wished that we had time for a meal in the restaurant.

A great traditional lunch experience at the patio. Octopus, pigs ears and a roasted pig a.o treats. Great red wine. If you are not big fan of greasy stuff the pigs eat and the roast might be a bit much. Otherwise; Just great! Service was OK. Serves OK tapas throughout the day at the inside bar.

We spend a good time with friends and locals in this restaurant, tasting tapas and beer. Very nice and fast service. Located near the Alcazar and near our apartment. Generous portions and a wide variety of options. We taste too, some seafood and octopus dishes.Reasonable prices.Highly recommended.

Es un lugar acogedor y bastante limpio, llegamos tarde pero nos atendieron con mucha amabilidad y lo mejor de todo el menu,, pedimos unas machaconas de primero y mi marido repitio, exquisitas!! de segundo unos chuletones muy jugosos y como postre hacen un flan de la casa que... mejor ir a degustar ¡lo recomiendo!

En San Marcos tienen una amplia carta a su disposición raciones, mariscadas, frituras Y asados. Pueden hacer alarde de ser el establecimiento que ofrece mayor número de productos del mar en Segovia desde hace décadas. Tienen mariscos, pescados y pescaítos de las costas del norte y sur de España. Además el mejor cordero, cochinillo y cabrito asado. Esta situado en un entorno único y privilegiado en Segovia. Ambiente acogedor y familiar y buen trato. Aconsejable.

I was browsing the little shops on the street between the Cathedral and Alcazar and had a great conversation with one of the shopkeepers who recommended this restaurant in the valley below the old city wall. It was a beautiful walk on a path clearly marked from the Alcazar down to the the little streets in the valley below. Cross the bridge and follow the street and around the corner is San Marcos restaurant on the corner. The menu of the day is highly recommended. I went for an early lunch mid afternoon and sat inside the bar at one of the 5 tables. BRUTALMENTE CARO. CUIDADO SI ERES TURISTA. Para resumir, dos vinos de la casa y una ración de ensaladilla rusa, 19 Euros. Sí, el precio es exacto. Y lo que no me había sucedido nunca, sin ningún ticket de caja. Vino el dueño, hizo cuentas en una hoja en blanco de una libreta, y le dijo al camarero lo que tenía que cobrarme. Es un triste ejemplo de abuso a turista o gente de buena fe, donde intentan aprovecharse. Una mancha en la excelente hostelería de Segovia, donde he ido a comer durante cinco días en grandes restaurantes, con resultados excelentes.
