"Excellent food, freshly prepared by the owner chef of this independent little gem set amidst many restaurants and bars. Clean place, friendly service and great food at a good price. We had the 3 course meal for 2 including a bottle of wine for £50 so enjoyed many new tastes and finished with delicious Turkish tea and a chat with some of the regulars. Unfamiliar with the area we had walked up and down Old Christchurch Road for 30 minutes trying to decide which of the many restaurants we should dine in; Trip Advisor reviews, FSA ratings and the menus on display were helpful. We picked Saray for all those reasons plus seeing seemingly Turkish diners eating there which seemed a good advert for authentic, traditional cuisine. We were delighted with our decision, enjoying friendly, personal service from the waitress plus the owner chef who’s been running it for 14 years. Don’t be put off by the basic decor the room and company were warm and welcoming. We had a great evening and felt happy to have supported a local business. We would 100% recommend Saray."

The staff at this restaurant are very welcoming and the food is great. The service is fast, and the restaurant is very clean. It's also a good deal for the price. I highly recommend it.

We had the most delicious evening meal today. The food was truly scrumptious and terrific value for money. The service was first class and nothing was too much trouble. We can definitely recommend to others and we will return when next in Bournemouth.

The food was satisfactory. I had the T-bone steak, which I must say was quite delicious. However, the lentil soup was lacking in flavor. My partner had the creamy chicken with rice, which was also tasty. The prices were reasonable as well. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

The food was delicious, the decor was lovely, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was quite busy, which was a good sign. I am giving it 4 stars because I found it a bit expensive, especially the drinks which were pricier than those at a pub. Despite this, we had a great experience and would definitely come back. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited this place yesterday and so glad we did. I can honestly say that this was the best meal I’ve had in a restaurant for a very long time. The service was excellent, we even learned a little Turkish!! Turkish red wine was lovely and very reasonably priced. The food was amazing. I had the sea bass, amazing!!! Will visit Bournemouth again just to have a meal here, it’s really that good!!

Authentic delicious Turkish. Found this place by chance, and had an amazing meal. Homely and humble atmosphere. Every single thing we ordered was so clean tasting and delicious, it felt as if we were eating at a Turkish person’s home. The homemade chilli sauce is so light and fresh. We cannot wait to return. DO NOT come here expecting glitz and glamour. The puddings were amazing also. We will be back.

Went here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Great value for money and decent portion size on meals. The only let down was the chilli sauce it was more like a runny tomato sauce with bits. I live in London and visit lots of Turkish/ Greek restaurants that serve very good chilli sauce which in my opinion makes the meal. The place was warm and inviting and the gentleman serving us was very nice and nothing not to much trouble.
