"We had settled in the farmhouse Schieder and what was closer to it and there for dinner. From outside the restaurant looked very nice and so we decided to order a candlelight dinner for the evening. The price of 49 Euros we found very cheap and we were curious what is expected there in the evening, because it should be served appetizer, main dinner, dessert and a bottle of wine. Here is the description of the hotel page that I can fully confirm. “The Hotel Landhaus Schieder is located at the entrance of Schieder, right next to the castle park, in picturesque surroundings, in the middle of the Lipperland and at the edge of the Teutoburger Forest. The elegant property was built around 1900 by Count Ernst Regent in the Lippe as a villa and converted into a hotel in 1990. The hotel complex has comfortably equipped apartments and a large garden terrace. In the area you will find peace and relaxation. The directly adjacent castle park with lake invites you to stay. In the immediate vicinity you will find extensive hiking and sports opportunities such as mountain biking, sailing flies, canoeing or golf. There is a separate smoking room, a beautiful beer garden and a cozy bar. The restaurant was well visited by hotel guests and guests of the place. We were very kindly received and led to our table. We received our menu and could see for the first time what awaits us. It was possible to choose between 2 wines, either a white wine from 2010 Fleur de d ́Artagnan or a red wine from 2010’s Dornfelder “Four Seasons” were selected. We chose white and also a bottle of water that were served later. The white wine was taken in the stand-cooling tank so that the temperature remained excellent for the further time. Some time later we started with our menu. She was served hot and was very delicious. We have been a regular guest at Landhaus Schieder for 8 years and look forward to the beautiful time every year. The staff is very friendly, the ambience is very well maintained and pleasant, the kitchen really leaves no wishes open and the price-performance ratio is absolutely good. We recommend the Landhaus Schieder on this route. Enjoy your stay.

The outdoor service staff has no motivation to provide a group of cyclists with 2 rounds of cold drinks. Today we left the outside area after 15min without ordering/services and drove further. Luckily we found a beautiful beer garden in Steinheim with friendly motivated service. For the next time, we know. Either the turnover is true or Radler does not fit into the prey scheme/concept of the company.

We were looking forward to a nice meal. But it went into the pants. First the soup was forgotten. Then the main dish came where the vegetables and the potatoes were cold. In dessert I asked what was in . cherry cap with ice . Had asked if there was only cherry and if there is no alcohol in it or something else in it. Not only cherries. Unfortunately, the cap was made with orange juice. What kind of allergy could have ended up really bad for me. When asked, it was only in reaction that they had said earlier. You have allergies .

To our cooking event with overnight stay we booked an extension night and spent a great long weekend in the farmhouse. We were accommodated in a very nice, spacious room with large bathroom, all tippitoppi clean and very appealing. The three-course mare on the first evening was very delicious and our desire for a dessertalternative would also be fulfilled. The breakfast buffet was very appealing, fresh and plentiful! The service was excellent, very warm, always friendly and attentive. Our cooking event in a nice round was a great experience and the result has all impressed us! The farmhouse Schieder is an absolute recommendation, it fits for us all! Thank you for a great weekend!
