"Die Bewertungen, die es im Internet zu diesem Restaurant gibt, können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Wir sind weder Freunde des Wirts noch bekommen wir Geld für eine Bewertung, trotzdem möchten wir hier unsere Erfahrungen mitteilen.Wir besuchen das Restaurant mindestens alle 8 Wochen, mal zu zweit, mal in einer ganzen Gruppe, hauptsächlich weil es dort die beste Lasagne in der Gegend gibt. Das Lokal war jedes Mal immer bestens besucht und wir waren froh, dass wir einen Tisch reserviert hatten. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und außerdem flexibel, wenn es um Sonderwünsche gibt. Natürlich kann es ab und zu vorkommen, dass man ein bisschen länger auf das Essen warten muss, aber das ist uns das Essen absolut wert!"

"We were nicely surprised to find a vegan burger in the black forest. The burger was good and original, there was no patty but instead some indian style dumplings filled with a sweet potato onion ginger mix (a bit spicy! and served with a mango chutney. Personnally it was not really what i expected for a burger (i am used to something more heavy with vegan cheese and meat , but considering the big lack of vegan options in the area this is a really great start. It will particularly satisfy people looking for a healthier/lighter burger, though i found the price a bit high for what it is and i am not a fan of the name of the burger which falls deeply in the clichés (basically flower picker : in fact many vegans like to eat something fat and meaty too without the suffering of animals or a high environmental footprint! I would suggest to strongly encourage this place to develop more vegan options with clear vegan labels on the menu (maybe a heavier vegan burger or wrap? for us hungry people out there ; Nice atmosphere and service. Too bad to find plastic straws, another point to improve."

"We looked for places on TA that were open for lunch as we were in area. We arrived at 14:48. The waiter seated us and snatched menus from table, then disappeared. We ordered a half bottle of wine, then asked for menus. He curtly announced...that lunch was over at 14:45. Our mistake, I should have done my research. He asked if we still wanted wine. We asked for a glass each, figured we’d find another spot.After a VERY long wait, we got our glass of wine. One, split two ways. Technically we thought we were getting two pours. My husband had his money out. He got frustrated said he’d have to give us a bill. He was extremely. rude. I asked for password for WiFi and told it was “ only for hotel guests”. Why don’t you just allow hotel guests to your terrace? We were treatly rudely and curtly and felt unwelcome. Avoid. I gave you a star for the view and one for our mistake. I’d never consider staying here. First time I’ve ever been treated so rudely in Germany."

"We were booked in May 2023 for 2 nights in 2 double rooms. I was present for one night. The “wellness hotel” declared by HRS was quite old and did not have an open indoor swimming pool and the day before our arrival we found out at short notice that the restaurant was also closed. We deliberately chose the hotel because of its own restaurant... The telephone availability was catastrophic, the owner justified this by saying that guests would often call for weather information from Tititsee. The owner, Mr. Franz, also assured me over the phone that they would accommodate the costs of my two dogs due to the inconvenience of the restaurant being closed. Since I was still of the old school when it came to the spoken word, I trusted his words and didn't take them in writing. When we left, however, the receptionist denied him that he wasn't in the house, but I had already seen him at breakfast. The lady at the reception told me that the boss had changed his mind and that there was no concession regarding the costs for 2 dogs. Cowardly act by an dishonest hotelier. I have never experienced anything like it. I travel privately and for business at least 180 days a year! So I paid 30.00 euros for one night in this flophouse for 2 small dogs. In comparison, the 5 star Hotel Roomers in Baden-Baden charges 29 euros for the 2 Yorkshire Terriers. The selection at breakfast is positive. The cleanliness in the room left something to be desired, there were black hairs in the freshly made bed. There was a used, probably unwashed blanket full of hair for the dogs. Conclusion: ONCE and NEVER again Rooms: If you don't value cleanliness, this is the place for you. Nearby activities: The thermal baths are in the immediate vicinity Walkability: Central location in Titisee"

"Zunächst zu den positiven Aspekten:- Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien - solides Essen- angemessene Preise- Portionsgrösse auch für Leute mit gutem Appetit geeignetNegativ:- lange Wartezeiten beim Service- Steht der Schweinskrustenbraten auf der Karte, dann erwartet man als Gast einen Braten mit einer Kruste. Wenn die nicht gelungen ist, was passieren kann, dann kann man den Gast zumindest informieren oder ihm eine Alternative anbieten. Auf Nachfrage beim Service wurde die Kruste serviert, die nicht gelungen war und deshalb beim ersten Mal nicht rausging. Beim Abräumen fragte der Kellner, ob wir zufrieden gewesen wären. Meine Begleitung sagte, dass sie sich sehr auf den Braten gefreut hatte und daher nicht 100% zufrieden sei. Der Kellner versprach als Entschädigung einen Espresso, der auch serviert wurde. Bald darauf informierte er uns jedoch, dass seine Kollegin den Espresso nicht genehmigen würde und wir den bezahlen müssten. Ansonsten bot er uns den Umweg über den Geschäftsführer an. Da er sich mit der Aktion um sein eigenes Trinkgeld gebracht hatte, haben wir von dem Vorschlag abgesehen.Lieber Geschäftsführer, bitte den Service besser instruieren, dann gibt es auch wieder Trinkgeld. Die schlechte Bewertung mag hart erscheinen, aber wir haben uns leider sehr veralbert gefühlt. Dennoch gehe ich davon aus und hoffe, dass das ein Einzelfall war."
