"Why we visited Sampan Bromley? We have been looking for a restaurant to have Sunday Buffet lunch at reasonable price and with many items to taste. We have seen few other restaurants around Bromley do the Buffet but we selected this restaurant as the picture(on the website) provided in Buffet section is tempting and looks like there are many items Actual Experience: When we arrived there, we were shocked. Here is why 1) Less than 11 items in Buffet and that was including Salad items. Here were the items: Here are the items: Starters: a) Salads (too basic) b) Chicken tikka (taste 3 out of 5) c) Lamb sheikh kebab (taste 3 out of 5) d) Onion bhajji (taste cold and soggy so, 2 out of 5) Main Course: a) Naan(plain and dry) and Rice b) Shaag Aloo (taste 3.5 out of 5) c) veg jalfrezi (taste 2 out of 5) d) Chicken tikka masala (taste horrible as an Indian, never seen chicken tikka masala with coconut 0 out of 5) e) Chicken masala (taste 2 out of 5) f) Rogan ghos(lamb) (taste 3.5 out of 5) Dessert: a) Fruits(gapes, pineapple , melons) does it call dessert? Not Sure 2) No chutneys or sauces are available for starters 3) Taste wise, the items are not close to Authentic Indian dishes 4) Shocked to see that there is no Dessert item Overall Food Rating: 2 out of 5 We strongly Believe that This Restaurant is. NOT TO TRY"

The food at this restaurant is excellent. I have been coming here for over 20 years and have never had a bad meal. It is far superior to any other Indian restaurant we have tried.

There were 7 of us celebrating a birthday and we were given a table for 2 pushed close to a circular table which made conversation difficult and the 2 people felt disconnected from the main table. We waited a long time for our food almost an hour and the drinks menu was inaccurate. The food was generally good but the man breads could have been better. Visualizza piatti

I must say its my favourite restaurant. You are always welcomed and remembered. Its comfortable and have a lovely atmosphere. The staff are extraordinary they are knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive ad friendly. My meal was just gorgeous, presented with style and looked and smelled amazing. I cleared the plate. I never usually have a desert but here I always do..its a great restaurant and I'm yet to find another that comes close.

The restaurant itself had a nice ambiance, but the buffet was just okay. It didn't have all the dishes it advertised and the portions were kept very low, making it difficult to take more than one piece of meat at a time. The starters were lacking, with hard and crispy rice that was tough on our teeth. We asked for more lamb at 4 o'clock and were told there was none left, even though there was still an hour left of buffet service. We felt rushed to finish our meal as we were the last customers, and overall, I wish I had chosen a different spot for my birthday lunch. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. One waiter was somewhat annoying, trying to be funny and lingering around our tabl...
