"For a family birthday celebration we selected the Swan. Evidently a popular destination, judging by the busy car park (not to mention their many 'good ' and 'excellent ' reviews , we were not disappointed! A traditional pub, with separate areas (rooms accommodating well spaced tables, clean and fresh. Once seated at our table, we couldn 't see the bar/waiting staff most of the time, nevertheless, the service was excellent: as if by magic, staff were always on hand when we needed anything! There was an extensive choice of meals on the menus (I did get a bit confused with the my menu worth noting that if you have anyone with gluten intolerance, a separate menu is provided making their selection a lot easier my confusion was born of the fact that hadn 't noticed the heading! Our party ordered starters, main courses and desserts... Without exception, all the dishes were very nice indeed, fresh, home made and hot served with a smile. Thank you, Swan staff, for facilitating an excellent evening. The Swan will certainly be our 'local of choice ' for the foreseeable future."

"We received a very warm welcome upon arrival, we had two partially sighted friends and the staff were kind enough to bring over the menu board to make our lives easier. We had two dogs with us who were each offered some treats and water. A sausage for the dogs was also produced much to the excitement of our furry babies. The food was of a high quality standard, the eggs cooked to perfection, the hash brown crispy and everything hot and tasty. We had a vegetarian amongst us and the staff upgraded her breakfast with an additional hash brown without us even asking. Overall, very happy and would highly recommended."

"Myself and my family (a table of 4 had decided on a post payday treat and thought The Crown is spoken about but we have never been – booking here was the best decision. The pub itself is oldy-worldy, quirky and just really quite cozy. On arrival we ordered our drinks and were shown to a table upstairs, a table with a tablecloth, wine glasses, side plates and menus waiting. Not long after we had settled a large group were sat down next to us, leaving us to initially think ‘we aren’t going to be able to hear anything now!’ (The restaurant was empty apart from us and the group being a Tuesday evening! . However, we should not have worried as our waitress (Penny came to take our order and quickly realised the noise level and offered us another table in another area (without us even having to say anything! and not only that when we viewed the other area Penny also mentioned an even cosier area that we may prefer .. which we did! We all had starters and mains and from first to the last bite the food was amazing. Clearly homecooked, rich in flavour and a generous portion! We all left full up and having enjoyed and really really lovely meal. If you are looking for somewhere to have a relaxed, chilled, civilised, value for money (approx. £109 for 4x 2 courses and a mix of wine and soft drinks meal then this is the place for you. We will definitely be returning!"

"Absolutely fantastic! We were searching for a pub in the area for lunch but had no luck. By chance, we stumbled upon Browns Cafe. The food was excellent, and the menu had plenty of great options. They are also dog-friendly and made a huge fuss over our dog. The place was clean and tidy, and the staff was wonderful. We will definitely be returning! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
