Fresh and tasty Sushi minutes from Marienplatz tucked away in a small street. Very popular. Reserve before not to be disappointed! Best sushi I had in Munich so far.

I live in Munich and I'm lucky to have this place around the corner. It's the best sushi I've had in town other than Matsuhisa, but you're not paying those prices. The staff is stellar and the quality of fish they use is excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Ich finde das Essen hier Klasse. Das Problem ist nur, dass das Lokal einfach zu klein ist und das Flair einer Imbissbude hat. Wenn man hier mal länger sitzen möchte, hat man gleich ein schlechtes Gewissen. Zusammengefasst: Das Essen ist gut, aber für das Ambiente zu teuer. Visualizza piatti

Ich gehe jetzt schon seit fast 15 Jahren hier her bzw. früher an der Ecke, die Qualität war imemr schon gleich gut oder ok. Nur hat man heute eine andere Vorstellung von frische als noch vor 10 Jahren. Für einen Imbiss komme ich immer gerne her, aber alles andere denke ich wäre zu viel des guten.

Already upon entering the restaurant I felt like entering a small restaurant in Japan. The staff is really friendly and the food tastes just like it did back in Japan. The prices are alright, considering it's located in the middle of Munich. I will definitely come back, the next time I'm in Munich.

Boy, did I need a dose of Japanese food after all the bratwurst and wieners during my visit in Munich!! We did not make reservations at the restaurant but we lucked out and got a table. Everything here is excellent. We had sushi, tonkatsu, miso soup, salad., ramen....I think that you should call and get a reservation here because they have long line ups and the food does take some time to be served. I have tried many different sushi restaurants in Munich. So far Shoya is firmly on top of my list. The sushi here is delicious, the quality of the fish is amazing and the Kimchi is divine! Prices are very reasonable - especially for the quality. I was surprised to see how expensive some others are (e.g. Sushi & Soul) in comparison to a way lower quality and taste. Only minor minus point is the atmosphere and the white wine - the restaurant is very simple and the furnishings are old. If they would revamp this restaurant they would certainly attract more customers. And please switch out the white wine, it just doesn't taste at all!

Nachdem wir in unserem Stamm-Ramenlokal keinen Platz bekommen haben, haben wir uns auf Empfehlung einer Freundin dorthin begeben. Das Essen kann man auch wirklich nur loben. Es ist sehr frisch und lecker, so dass man doch gerne darüber hinweg sieht, wenn es etwas länger dauert, bis man was zu essen kriegt.Leider war der Service alles andere als akzeptabel, so dass wir uns letztlich dagegen entschieden, noch weiter zu bestellen (wir wollten eigentlich noch das Sushi probieren). Wir wurden nicht gefragt, ob wir noch etwas trinken wollten, die leeren Gläser wurden einfach abgeräumt und ehe man etwas sagen konnte, war die Kellerin auch wieder verschwunden. Es erweckte den Eindruck, als mache ihr...

Zwar sind die Sushi bzw Maki geschmacklich wirklich lecker, aber qualitativ wird das hier langsam etwas grenzwertig - ich esse seit mehr als 10 Jahren in Shoya Restaurants - auf Erfolg sollte man sich nicht ausruhen liebes Shoya Team!Die Maki bringt man nicht aus der Box, ohne sie zu zerfetzen. Handwerklich hat das nicht mehr viel mit Sushi zu tun. Die Inside Out Rolls haben keine stabile Konsistenz, Algenblätter sieht man durch, weil aussen keine Reisschicht aufgebaut wurde. Tunkt man das ganze dann noch in Soya Sauce, dann fällt es komplett auseinander. Nur eine Miniportion Soya Sauce wird mitgeliefert. Weil ich das wusste, hab ich schon extra Soya Sauce bestellt und bezahlt, kam aber trot... Visualizza piatti
