"As a person of Indian descent, having traveled around the world and tasted Indian food everywhere, I cannot understand why some Indian restaurants think they can get away with cheating their customers. Perhaps, a novice will not notice the difference, but the clientele, today whether...they are Indian or not know their food. I ordered Bhindi Bajji (a Vegetable dish made with Okra) as a takeaway... and instead of getting what I expected, i.e., okra (that is cut) sauteed with tomatoes and spices... I got big pieces of okra is a tomato based curry sauce. Unfortunately, I noticed this the day after and live too far to take it back. There are other fine Indian restaurants in Hamburg, such as Ashoka in Budapesterstrasse and I would avoid this restaurant. Mind you this dish was not cheap!"

Were there as the restaurant offered a 2 for 1 promotion. Food was delicious, big dishes. Waiter forgot my drink order minor issue.

The ambience of the restaurant is nice. However, the food quality is average. The prices are on the relatively high side. The chicken pakora was just plain fried chicken pieces, not really a pakora as expected.

visited the restaurant together with my German team. great food and service and the location is quiet central. a special menu with a wide range of delicacies at nominal price. eating was appreciated by team. can recommend the restaurant.

we had a long trip on the bus and tied indians and it was a nice meal. we had a lot of food and even a pudding was given free. the waiter was nice and friendly. would go back and a nice meal for. a veggie! menu was not in English, but we are in Germany and cannot expect it. would recommend a visit

we decided to come to this restaurant after the arrival in hamburg in the late evening. we didn't have to book a table and we sat as soon as we arrived. eating was so delicious and probably one of the best Indian meals I have. the service was brilliant and nothing was too much annoyed. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good Indian food!

I've lived in India and I could normally not find any place in which they would cook real Indian food until I found this. They have a restaurant but also an Imbiss. I normally pick up my food that I order on the phone as...I live pretty close by, this way its just as cheap as eating at a hamburger chain but 50 times better food!! They make everything, garlic naan and masala papad, biryani, lamb, all sorts of curries, lassi. Its just perfect, and you can even have your food with a Kingfisher beer, it doesnt get any better than this!!

My husband and I live in the area and like that Shukria delivers. We have ordered from here at least a dozen times and enjoy their butter chicken, chickpea masala, naan, and samosas. The portions are generous and entrées come with a salad. However, we...have noticed the last couple times we have ordered the masala it was incredibly greasy. The oil was a thick layer pooling above the sauce. We emptied the sauce through a strainer to try and save it. There are several decent Indian restaurants in the area. Unfortunately I cannot endorse this one for consistent quality.
