"We were seated at 12:20 for our 12:30 reservation and had the table until 2:00. Since we were really hungry, we ordered immediately, but our food didn’t arrive until 1:30. The drinks also took a long time, and we had to keep asking for updates. The waitress's customer service wasn't very good; although it was clear she was busy, she came across as rude."

This bar was quite busy, but as a group in our 50s, we still felt comfortable here. Both the food and drinks were reasonably priced, and the quality of the food was excellent. Overall, we had a great experience.

"I wore up without reservation and they kindly equipped me with a timeline that was great. I started with the sweet choir and chicken soup that was good, but nothing exciting. I had a last minute change of heart after I saw the char sui on the menu and added the fried mushroom rice. the tear should have cloged in him and for a five it should have, not. it was also a little oily. my head came with steamed brokkoli, which was unfortunately cold. the char sui had too much five seasoned for me and it overwhelmed every other taste. it wasn't like char sui. I finished all my food so it's decent, maybe my expectations were high, I would try it again. updated by previous review on 2022-09-15"

"What an experience Skosh is! Was really looking forward to trying and booked quite a way in advance for our anniversary. Beautiful small plates, can highly recommend the duck breast, chicken gochujang, tempura brocolli and pork belly. Everything seems so well considered, maybe an obvious thing to say, but not every considered decision results in such a beautiful outcome. Even down to the crockery choices. I wish it were bigger, the small table for two is small. Some of the seating options are more of bar stool arrangement, which isn't for everyone, me included. Skosh is a real pearl of find in York. Definitely go, it's not just dinner: it's an event."

"A group of four of us had a satisfying lunch at the restaurant, with two of us ordering the Partisan breakfast, one choosing the chorizo sandwich, and myself opting for the Sobrassada de Mallorca. Mine was delicious, served with sliced pear, brazil nuts, and goat cheese on bread. Everyone enjoyed their meals as well, which all looked appetizing. We ended our meal with a slice of cake. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing good service. We plan on returning. I noticed that many people were turned away, so I recommend making a reservation. The ladies' restroom also serves as the disabled restroom, which was a bit inconvenient, but understandable given the size of the building."

"The food and wine here are absolutely great, and with good options and labelling for allergies and dietary needs, including gluten free bread and crackers and vegan cheese options. Try the manchego cheese; it has a lovely delicate taste and texture. The hummus is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and were happy to make changes to cater to food intolerances and to make recommendations. Nice ambience with pleasant music, though it gets a bit loud later in the evening if you 're neurodiverse with sound sensitivity; recommend bringing earplugs for that. The decor is tasteful throughout with good attention to detail. I got a Well done from my partner for finding it as a place for an anniversary dinner, so I 'd call that a result! Dietary restrictions: The menu is really clear and even lists if wines are vegan. Being allergic to cow 's milk, this was great."

"I visited the block and ordered 2 slices which came up to £8.50 not cheap when you can get a full pizza for that price. The toppings were very tasty so good job on that but the dough was awful sorry guys but you really need to sort that one out! Not sure if it’s the dough ingredients that is making the pizza so tough or if it’s because they re-heat it again after it’s cooked? It was as hard as a piece of cardboard… Also they reheated a slice which had rocket on it so when it came back out the rocket was not looking to good anymore, maybe add the rocket after? Shame as the concept could be amazing if the slices were cheaper (around £6.50) and the dough was better."
