"Visited for lunch with a vegan friend over from Finland for a few days, Sukha had been recommended to her by others and so we ventured forth!! My friend had crushed avocado on toast and I have to admit that while it looked nice and she said it tasted good, the portion was tiny, really tiny. She washed it down with an elder flower canned drink. The kale salad she ordered didn't get served until I asked for it right at the end and again, it was declared tasty. I had a carrot and nut burger with some chilli relish. It was very tasty, really tasty, but in my opinion, would have been even better if the roll it was in was either fresh and softer or maybe, toasted. I chose to have a lovely slaw as a side dish and their delicious espresso, date and banana smoothie. We chose not to have a cake as they looked as if they'd been there a while and not very fresh I'm afraid I'm a trained pastry chef and have an eye for these things after 55 years in the trade. The surroundings are a bit on the dull side, it's obviously been put together for the atmosphere and on a budget it's no worse for this to be honest, in fact, it adds to the character some of the customers were definite tributes to the age of hippies in Ibiza 50+ years ago (me among them in those days . The cafe is on a busy road, under a snooker club which is where you'll need to go to use a loo if you need one. Go along with an open mind and willingness to try something different and new, if you're a meat eater, you'll almost certainly be pleasantly surprised. If you're veggie or vegan, then you'll understand what they do at Sukha and are in for a very pleasant visit. Good luck to the cafe, I hope that you'll be there for my next visit to your area, if you are, I'll definitely be back:"

I really liked the salads. The staff was friendly and the decorations were interesting, nestled between two Yoga studios.

This place is both cool and warm. The food looks great, though we just had a little cake and matcha latte. But really, you cannot beat the ambience here: easy, calm, comfortable. A great place to be

A very relaxed and spacious café that serves the most delicious vegan food. That's right, vegan. We're not vegan but we plan on eating here again. We had the Bento Box Salad, which is a selection of three salads from the salad bar. Plus and side order or hummus and chilli jam — it was mega.

Been itching to come to this place because I love yoga. I attended a class and afterwards admired the delicious array of ‘proper’ health foods beautifully arranged. I had a turmeric latte and a ‘snicker’ bar and my husband had a juice. Love the unusual crockery and antique cutlery. It was absolutely amazing, you can’t beat vegan cakes! The latte was perfect. Can’t wait to return here. Visualizza piatti

We've had drinks here before, but had our first evening visit last Thursday. The carrot and nut burger was excellent as were the accompanying salads. I'm told the mushroom Stroganoff was very good too. I can totally recommend the matcha smoothie. The staff are lovely and there is a great atmosphere. The incense adds to the wonderful vibe. Thank you for an amazing evening Sukha Lounge!

I absolutely love Sukha Lounge, there is always a great selection of delicious vegan food and lovely staff behind the counter! I can't leave without having the pancakes smothered in maple syrup and almond butter. My only issue is the lack of toilet within the facilities, it would NEVER stop me from coming but I do feel a little bit award going to the snooker room upstairs after a good coffee.

I enjoyed a salad and cake at this restaurant in the evening (they are only open in the evening on Thursdays). This was my second visit to the restaurant. The food is tasty and unique. My only critique is that the portions are quite small. I ordered two dishes and a dessert just for myself, and I am not a big eater. The restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere, and I felt at ease dining alone there. Visualizza piatti

I was walking with a friend and then I saw this little shop on the other side of the street and decided to go inside. What a wise decision, we absolutely fall in love with this place because it has such a great atmosphere. We went for a fruit sweet smoothie but with coconut milk and a chocolate chips cookie. Everything was so tasty with a great presentation. We had a really good time there. I'll come back for sure.

The staff at the restaurant were not very attentive, despite it not being busy. There was confusion over our order, and although they offered an email receipt, we did not receive a paper receipt so we were unsure of what we had paid for. The quality of the food was very good, but the portions were small. It was quite disheartening when two small dogs appeared and stole apples from the back of a pram, presumably belonging to the owners. It is disappointing as we are locals and had high hopes for this place, especially since my daughter and grandson require gluten-free options.

"We had called-here for drinks during a previous visit to Bournemouth. We were impressed with the wine we drank, and the food that we saw served to other customers. So, today was the realisation of a promise that we made-to-ourselves to revisit and, this time, dine! We were a few-minutes early for our 19:30 reservation having allowed too-much time for our half-a-mile walk from our hotel. The restaurant was not busy, and there were scant customers during our 2½ hour stay. There was only one, very pleasant, member of staff in the bar/dining area. We had assumed he was the Manager, and he did everything: menus, drinks, food orders, food service, and payment. He did this pleasantly with good humour, plus impressive efficiency and knowledge. The food here is principally ‘Sharing Boards’ but also available were smaller (snack) servings of Artisan Cheese and Charcuterie and other “Nibbles”. We chose an ‘Ultimate Board’ (intended for two people sharing and costing £36.95 in total). Within this price you select four types of charcuterie plus four types of cheese to complete the board. Drinks: we started with a 175ml glass of “Martin Codax Albariño” for each of us. The extensive and impressive wine list offers a good selection available by the 175 or 250ml glass: 6 white wines, 3 rosé wines, 9 red wines, 3 sparkling wines and 9 aperitif/digestif wines. The Albariño was very much enjoyed, whist we decided which bottle of wine we would have with our meal. After much thought we chose a bottle of Bin 31 ‘Laibach (Sur Lie) Stellenbosch’; a white wine from what is a great wine-producing region in South Africa. This was superbly delicate and gently flavoured; with the very slight effervescence from the ‘Sur Lie’ fermentation method (fermentation on the lees). We know this method well from Sur Lie Muscadet wines, from the Sèvre-et-Maine region in France. With our wine chosen, we concentrated on the charcuterie and fromage that we would like with our ‘Ultimate Board’. There was much debate between us, but eventually: Our choices of charcuterie were: Salami Milano: with a perfumed scent that was such a delight. Pâté: quite fine but rich and flavoursome. Venison Salami: surprising and just superb. Smoked Pancetta: we loved this delicately smoked pork belly which was served in the thinnest slices imaginable. The cheese was far more difficult to choose: A Cheddar was a no-brainer and it was good; however we have ‘Vintage’ Cheddar at home (aged for 36-60 months); so the Cheddar here was a bit tame for our tastes. Oak Smoked Lincolnshire Poacher: this was very disappointing as half of the piece was totally inedible rind, and the rest was almost impossible to cut with the cheese-knife provided. I brought this to the attention of the Manager this was exchanged with more of the Cheddar. Northern Blue: good and creamy and appreciably tangy. We had another cheese which was firm and good eating, but we cannot recall it’s name (that’s our fail then). To be honest, and sadly, we found the cheese to be not anywhere as good as the charcuterie, we like mostly hard, or at least firm cheese, with strong flavours. Brie, Camembert and other soft cheeses rarely feature at our home (the somewhat explains our choices). The board was loaded with extra ingredients: a good selection of salad and fruit: cream cheese stuffed cherry tomatoes, lovely crunchy astringent cornichon, fresh grapes and pitted olives. There was also a pot of hummus, onion relish, cheese crackers, and a basket of bread (the latter of which we ordered a second). The meal was still a very favourable experience; made better by the extra cornichon provided. Just because I said how much I loved the texture and flavour of these wonderful ‘little gherkins’. After our board we were quite replete and there was no-way we could have managed a dessert, but an extra glass of Viognier for my Partner, and a wonderful 10-year-old Tawny Port for myself, finished-off the meal splendidly."

"WOW! What can we say!? Chris Katie catered lunch at our beautiful outdoor wedding at Moonacre, Sturminster Marshall. They had a fantastic layout and lots of menu options available several different burgers, wieners fries! They absolutely smashed the service and excelled at feeding a few more than expected too! They made us a gorgeous little personalised menu also which we thought was such a nice touch! Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how amazing their food was even those who would never normally consider vegan options were blown away at how great everything tasted! They managed to positively influence even the most stubborn meat eaters of our guests to realise that they don’t need to miss out on flavour when choosing vegan options! That’s a huge win in our eyes! A couple of people even said it was the first ever vegan food they’d tried and they couldn’t get over how amazing it was! We told our guests about the Mighty Wieners restaurant in Bournemouth and will be bringing people back for more as they couldn’t wait to try more options! The day was such a huge success and Chris Katie did such an incredible job! We can’t recommend them enough, for food at their restaurant and wedding events catering! Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian and vegan options! Dietary restrictions: Served gluten free options! Kid friendliness: Excellent service friendly, warm and when above and beyond! Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect for full accessibility!"
