Sushisho im Maritim Hotel

We decided to dine at the hotel after a long day in Frankfurt and the restaurant is certainly worth while. The service was good and the food excellent.

not cheap, but sushi in general is not. I had a large dish of sushi. Very good. Friendly service as well. But they have other things too choose than sushi.

Just in front of the Messe, it is an interesting option if you want sushi. The quality was OK and the service quite friendly. However, I thought it was a bit expensive for what you get....

Bad weather, no energy to leave the hotel to find food. We ended up at Sushisho. We took a 3 course meal. Was not too bad at all. It is a bit expensive if you go a la carte. Together with a beer it stays ok-ish.

The food is quite ok, and I would eat it regularly...if if would cost at least 50% less of what it does. While the tamago was fresh and the shawan-mushi even excellent, the avocado in the maguro avocado was just not ripe enough, and what can you really do wrong with a veggie tempura? Portions were relatively small (especially for the price). Service though the "chef" was really good, but the servers were just not friendly at all - very business like. And the worst - they forgot my dessert. The location is not cozy at all, just the lobby of the Maritim Hotel, too bright the light and too open. Not coming back.

Had great hopes for this restaurant. Ridiculously expensive, but the fact that it was closed over a weekend during the Frankfurt Book Fair, should have been a giveaway. I ordered the seared tuna and aside from it being overcooked, it tasted very fishy which Tuna should never do if it is fresh. When I mentioned that it was overcooked and I wasn't going to eat it, the waitress apologized but said she couldn't offer me a replacement as it was the only piece of tuna that they had. It was a Monday night at 6 pm and we were the only people in the restaurant, which makes me think that this piece of tuna was either in the freezer or had been in the fridge since at least Friday as they had been close...

This place in the Maritim Hotel by the Frankfurt Messe offers a terrific, albeit somewhat expensive, Japanese lunch. The food is quite good, the service is likewise solid and the atmosphere is nicely upscale. The prices are rather expensive but the value is not bad for the quality of the experience.This place was conveniently located for those attending an event at the Messe, which was our case when we chose this place for lunch. The restaurant was booked so we had to sit at the sushi bar. This was OK, however, as we were happy enough with that arrangement. As some reviewers clearly mentioned, the attitude of probably Chef was unbelievably bad, not a type of attitude toward customers at all. Here the story :We came there on Saturday evening and asked table for two. The seats were fully empty and only one couple sat on 4 seats table.The Chef said "any place for two, please." And we sat down. Then he asked us for drink orders without a menu being given as soon as we sat down. It was no time to think/consider the drink orders. We asked the place/space to keep our bag and leather coat. He said " just put here (on the floor), please! Put the coats on the floors!? And then I said " why on the floor ?
