We went for my birthday and it was a great gift! great service, great food, great variety and special care to everything they do here. we loved the sushi and all the home-made sauces and dishes.

Food was good. Service at best mediocre. On a bill of over CHF 1,000, the tap water was charged at CHF 6 (despite wine consumption). That doesn't work. I communicated this to Mr. Tanaka by email. No response received. That fits with the impression I got that evening. A pity.

An exceptional Japanese specialty restaurant located slightly outside of Bern. An inspiring and minimalistic design, which manages to convey warmth; an absolutely irreproachable menu and service this is a rare find, and a dignified successor to the regretted Kabuki at Markthalle. The sake selection to accompany the menu is particularly good. Prices, while high, are not astronomical, and well worth the experience.

Unfortunately disappointed today...the kitchen was excellent, but unfortunately the service was not! When we stood in front of the door at 5:50 p.m., the door wasn't even held open for us at 6 p.m. (when the restaurant opened). Just put the key in, turn it and run away, even though we had been seen for a long time. The service was unmotivated and very slow.
