"Popped in at 10pm on a quiet tuesday night, saw only 1 other person in main part near bar. Was shown however to table out of way and then forgotten about. I was ready to order after 2 minutes, but waiter ws on phone and did not return. An obvious regular customer came in, loud and drunk and chatting to whoever was in main part. After waiting more than 10 minutes I told waiter I was off and asked for bill (for an overpriced £3 small Kingfisher bottle). The waiter apologised and said he could take my order, but I said I was fed up being ignored. Exactly at that moment a person came out with a starter for the person who arrived after me. He may have been the manager? He also apologised for delay, said I could return to seat and place order. But when I repeated that I was fed up waiting he was very rude and said that he/the restaurant didn't need my custom anyway. How rude is that? He should put himself in my shoes, how would he feel?! His loss anyway. If he feels that he can do without a £30 input to his business fair enough (what I was ready to pay based on starter, main, side, drink tip) but on a quiet night it certainly looked like they needed any money they can get. Just don't be rude when you are at fault. Avoid."

Excellent food. We did takeaway but we will eat in on our next time out here. Curries were very good and tasted excellent. Poppadoms spot on. Only fault was chutney tray was a bit lacking but 5* anyway. Recommended. Best on Wirral.

Nice quiet place near the water. Joseph gave us excellent service, eh was knowledgeable about the food and made sure the food was exactly how we wanted it to be even if he had to take it back and get it fixed. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I had an exceptional dining experience at Tandoori Mahal! Joseph, our host, was incredibly attentive and made us feel so welcome. My partner and I first visited 8 months ago, and Joseph remembered us immediately today, noting how long it had been. This personal touch truly made us feel appreciated. The chicken tikka balti I ordered was cooked to perfection. The chicken was well-marinated, and the spice combination was on point. The garlic naan was soft and complemented the dish beautifully. We highly recommend Tandoori Mahal to anyone looking for a great meal. Their midweek deal of 4 courses for £15.95 is unbeatable. Thank you for a wonderful evening—we'll definitely be back!
