"杜塞尔多夫 ... the new silk road starts here !!! [Sweet Secrets ... currently I read the book by Bi Feiyu: ' 推拏: Tuina [Sehende Hände ' and yes, good food leaves a deep, lasting impression. Different ingredients and unique flavor combinations, whether it is a bowl...of noodles or a famous dish in Cologne the TCM Doctor suggested us that the Tang Wang Chinese Restaurant (Liesegangstrasse 15 in Düsseldorf will surprise and delight us. Let 's go! ... it was due to some coincidences that we visited the Restaurant on a Monday evening, a week earlier than expected to celebrate and welcome the new year of the fire rooster. Entering the restaurant it was immediately a curious encounter as being back somewhere in the suburbs of Beijing or Shanghai. Plenty of food to mend the body and warm the soul. The menue we got, was full of pictures and treasures entwined. We choosed a selection of five different elements and components of dishes with retro ambience and we were very surprised that they were all quickly prepared without complication caught in time. Although there were no big turning tables like in China offering history at a touch, the restaurant staff was very obliging, in a very good mood and off the beaten track, we had a lot of joy together. A legendary dish eaten far far far away from its legendary source. A big yellow fish looking like a squirrel, Sour&Sweet and very similar to the Song Shu Gui Yu [Suzhou /Qing Dynasty 1636 1912 style , was our high light. Once upon a time, the Emperor Qianlong put the chef into trouble. If he cooks the fish for the emperor, he risks the wrath of the gods. If not, he risks the wrath of the emperor. The chef was nothing if not inventive. He carved the fish in such a way that it looked like a squirrel after being fried. That was the way the gods might not notice that their fish was on the royal plate. Like in the past, we got the freshest and best fish available, disguised as a 'Hofgarten ' squirrel. The dumplings named 'Shanghai style ', really really taste like freshly home made and cooked by grany. No wonder that the food is so exquisite and absolutely delicious! The Kabeljau fish soup was so simple but so delicate, that we got wings and raised above all what we experienced so far on all our journeys criss cross through China. [No sapidity agent! No flavor potentiator! No allergic reactions! : We were speechless and leading the standing ovation for the whole kitchen crew. We already know, that the 'new ' silk road starts here at Tang Wang in Düsseldorf 中 Mitte, where China 's national leaders should come as soon as possible to explore the true taste of Osmanthus flavor, too. After your dinner, cross the street and get your TCM foot massage! That 's likely the neighborhood gathering spot, where people from all walks of life stop in. Try them all !!! ... but do not take away ..."

Great place for dinner, the lunch buffet on the other hand is not as good as ordering individual dishes.

not sure if I visited a day off, but I had no good experience here. I was over during the winter and they had no heating.

a few ok dishes, but average total. the restaurant setup is a bit strange, two sitting up the stairs. the service is okay and eating quite oily

we have proved that we would travel if there is good food, drive from amsterdam all the way to düsseldorf on the look for delicious cuisine tang wang.,

together with my Chinees-girl we eat here febr 7. especially the dimsum is really delicious and has tasted the original chinees hangzhou. I'll eat here.

eating was blatant, no taste, ahorntofu had like a teaspoon of chop meat and no taste and also other dishes, where one left. also a small amount is not large, as the part is quite small. don't go back.

A very unique and authentic menue. Portions small and in the end expensive and rather poor price performance ratio. Main courses (lamb and chicken) very greasy and prepared with too much oil. Cheapy furniture and the light is very bright and there is no Gemütlichkeit ....Service not very attentive. We saw some good food but were finally disappointed!

excellent eating, prices normal. most guests were Chinese people who told a lot, authentic and tasty eating. large menu. I asked for English menu and received the half translated Chinese/German/English menu. it is a pity, I understand that most guests are German or Chinese. talking people, but please make them full English menu because they have excellent restaurant.

I was in this restaurant not less than three times and try different dishes each time. from the rehearsal size of 10 tried, I can say it is a bit a hit and miss. some dishes are beautiful, while others miss the brand completely....So, parts are too big to be shared between two people. The key is the portion control, since with sort dishes is important in the Chinese kitchen, and price is on the high side
