Great vibes great tunes great lager great pub!! Got served by the bartender Nellie who was an absolute hoot! I would say that she should pursue a career as a standup comedian but then we’d lose a top notch bartender!

Fantastic atmosphere. Great food and brilliant choice of drink!! Had a lovely time here, staff are so friendly. Served by Natasha who gave helpful recommendations and really made our time enjoyable. Will be back soon! Thank you!

we went on a Sunday evening beer and it wasn't so full. it is a beautiful pub with beautiful outdoor area! a small recommendation would be to wash the tassen better because three of us have found many stains. still it's a great pub! Visualizza piatti

Wow, such good value for money with excellent food and drinks. Staff were helpful, quick and polite which made the overall experience fantastic. I think Natasha was the person who served us and she was particularly excellent, warm and a great asset to the bar!

I always have a fantastic time whenever I visit this place! There’s an excellent selection of drinks, and the staff are incredibly friendly and engaging. The last time I was there, I was served by a girl named Nellie, who was really entertaining. I definitely plan to return soon!

Brilliant pub and really friendly staff. I visited on Sunday for football and ended up having food. Great atmosphere and the service was spot on. I’ve never been to the pub until recently as I am just visiting Bristol. I love my sports and the team and locals at the anchor were nothing but accommodating and kind. The beer is cheap too! Food is well worth it not to mention 3p chicken wings on a weds Charlie and his team have done nothing but make me feel welcome anytime I come down here. I will be making it my priority to go to the anchor again.

I ordered the dirty burger, which was good but not outstanding. It consisted of two 6oz beef patties, a chicken fillet, and pulled pork, accompanied by fries and a side of mac n cheese. It was quite filling, but I wouldn’t say it was the best burger I’ve ever had. The drinks were rather pricey for Bristol; a pint of cider and a pint of beer came to almost £10! Those prices are a bit shocking! I might opt for a different place to eat, but if you want to catch a game, this could be a good choice.

The Anchor is a very student friendly pub, situated towards the top end of Gloucester Road. Large, leery and covered in blue and gold paint, this pub is busy most nights of the week, particularly on Mondays as it 's 'pound a pint ' night. There are also plenty of meal deals on cheap pub food too. Split over two levels there is at least plenty of space and lots of outside seating too, located at the front of the pub. While there is nothing wrong with this pub and it is certainly great for a cheap drink, it can get very loud, very busy, and feel a bit like a student union at times.
