The beef was overcooked, lacking any pink in the center, and the portion size was not sufficient compared to the other items on my plate. The Yorkshire puddings were also a bit overcooked. On the positive side, the mashed potatoes were excellent. However, I would suggest looking for other dining options, as this place is way too expensive for what you get."

This was our second visit to this restaurant, but on both occasions, we found the host to be a bit rude. We arrived early and wanted to have a drink at the bar, but the host kept insisting that we go to our table. However, the waitstaff were lovely, just like last time, and the food was excellent.

Our first time at Black friar and will be returning. The food and service were excellent. Well plentiful and prepared food served by a friendly and helpful waitress (thank you Frederca! . However, the kitchen had run out of several items (at 7.30PM? , including the hamburger, which I had set my heart on. The wine list is good, but somewhat overpriced (a fairly ordinary Vosne-Romanee at £170 .......and again, my preferred choice was not available.
