A real gem serving food at as high a quality level as you can find in Manchester. Great menu with varied options for all people. The food is top notch, flavours are amazing and well combined. Bit underwhelmed considering the hype. Food was decent though if you're planning to share and pick a selection of dishes you need to really like potato! I had the steak frites steak was wonderful. Beautifully cooked and tender as you like. Accompanying peppercorn sauce was lovely. What brought it down was the fries which were oversalted to the point of being overwhelming. A good range of desserts and we enjoyed a choux bun and frangipane tart. Very tasty.

We were very excited to experience the food at Stretford canteen given the rav reviews, we chose the restaurant instead of Street Urchin in Ancoats my sons 30th birthday, we were disappointed to be regretting our choice. The flavour of the food was good however the quality and quantity didn’t meet our expectations, the short rib was exceptionally fatty so you couldn’t eat much of it and we ended up having to order more to feel satisfied. The accompanying purées and vegetables weren’t enough for the men in our party of five. I was also disappointed by the texture of the choices bun and the amount of crème patisseries The bill for five was £288 that’s a lot of money for us, we were hoping for... Visualizza piatti
