"We love coming to the Boat, not only is it local but it has good food. Unfortunately I am sure through no fault of their own the prices have rocketed since New Year, £9.50 for a pudding. We had a glasss wine each (two of us) main meal, pudding and coffee which came to £95, which is rather a lot of a country pub. They also appeared to be short staffed, which was shame as I did want a glass of red wine with my meal, but no one was around to ask, we weren't asked if the meal was ok and felt rather un loved ! We would love to keep coming here as we love the pub and the owners, but the prices are now to high for us."

great staff, very efficient and friendly. burgers best I ever cost. we had a classic, a speck and a brie boot burger and the big bootsburger (not for the finest herzed.)

the sunday roast was great. Much of it. chicken wing starter was even better. only handle was the soaked shadow stuck to the table - the table was then cleaned on a wet surface.

Love this place. Its one of our favourite haunts. Always warm, cosy, and the food is beautiful! Only thing I'd change is having a cocktail menu that includes things like pornstar martinis...hehe.
