"We started with chicken liver pâté, which was decent but on the small side. Unfortunately, the first two main courses we wanted to order—the fish dishes—were sold out, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. That's simply poor planning. Our third option was a chicken and mushroom pie, which was more gravy than filling, with very little chicken. While it tasted okay, it was not worth the £18.50 price tag. When we asked for a wine menu, we were told there wasn’t one available. We decided on a bottle of Merlot, which was decent but overpriced for what it was. Our young waiter was attentive and apologetic about the sold-out dishes, which was appreciated. In the end, our bill came to just under £80 for a pretty average meal. It was our first outing for a meal in a long time, and we left feeling rather disappointed. Even during breakfast the next morning, our name was missing from the table reservation list, adding to the sense of disorganization. Overall, it wasn’t the best experience, compounded by a mix-up at check-in. All in all, it left us with a negative impression of the place."

Really enjoyed the breakfast but, even though we had booked a table for dinner, we walked out after viewing the menu due to the poor choices available and what was available we felt was overpriced.

we were not happy with the restaurant as it was closed and we were not told when we booked in the hotel, we have to say that it was closed. no apologies from the hotel, so we had to go to the harvested next door, were we a love?y meal

We were quite disappointed with the restaurant because it was closed when we arrived, and nobody informed us about it during our hotel booking. We showed up on time only to find out it was shut. The absence of ambiance wasn't due to any shortcomings on your part; it was simply a consequence of Covid precautions. The young man who waited on us was attentive without being overbearing, which was just right. We were the only patrons there (the three of us). The food was decent, and thanks to the "eat out to help out" initiative, it was quite affordable.
