Unfortunately the food was not great this time! First time we had it delivered it was nice , this time I ended up throwing most of it away. The standard of food was not great!

Booked for Sunday lunch with family. When I booked I asked for raw carrots for a member of the party. Unfortunately they bought out cooked carrots and didn’t have any raw carrots

I came to Sherborne for a funeral and the staff allowed me to change clothes after a long drive. Also had a great meal. I am so grateful. Thank you. The Carpenters Arms has largely improved since the new manager has taken over. Probably the best pub food that I have had in Sherborne the chef clearly takes pride in his work, not to mention the value for money! Was incredibly surprised when expecting mediocre pub food wish I had taken photos but it won't be long before we visit again. The improved decor throughout is much more welcoming and homely, with finishing touches such as blankets for the beer garden. We are looking forward to our next visit!

The food was good, chips were not greasy and scampi was as expected. The service was good, with a clean environment despite having a few dogs in-house, there was no dog/ animal smell you'd usually associate with a place that allowed dogs. You won't notice them until you see them, so yes really clean. Parking: You can park on the street, but I also noticed a parking lot by the side. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is wheelchair access through another entrance and I noticed an electric wheelchair/ mobility scooter parked by the entrance for safe keeping and easy access.
