The Castle Inn Pub Holcombe

First time visiting The Castle very impressed. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly and welcoming. Parking was easy. Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely lunch today at The Castle, a beautiful old pub, nice friendly atmosphere. The food was good, excellent portions and service. Will definitely visit again.

Average , pricey pub food , limited choice and then spoilt further be extremely rude staff member, when paying shoved the card machine in my face , no acknowledge or thank you just more concerned with the locals

Excellent all round. Great service and excellent menu with a great choice for dinner including a nice range of ‘specials’. We had scampi and chips, and ham, egg and chips followed by strawberry pavlova. Outstanding quality food all round.

This place is absolutely amazing! The service is warm and friendly, the atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The food was incredibly delicious, and we will definitely be coming back next time we're on vacation. I can't recommend this place enough!

Booked for lunch for three, the premises has the atmosphere of a proper pub. It was really busy and there was a bit of a wait but that counts for nothing against the service and quality of the food. Roast lamb and Pavlova. And reasonably priced. Loved it

We'd walked from Dawlish hoping to get a table and were in luck. Very friendly staff and locals and very good food. My hake and salad was delicious and my husband enjoyed his local ham, eggs and chips. As we were on holiday and had expended energy walking to the Castle we treated ourselves to dessert lovely crumble and very pleased they served it the proper way with custard.

I went for Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely atmosphere and great food at this restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and engaging. We all ordered the Sunday roast, with most of us choosing beef and lamb. The portions were generous and the food was well-cooked, with a nice assortment of vegetables and plenty of sauces included. We will definitely be coming back soon and highly recommend this place.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Despite its small size, the food was incredibly delicious. I received a recommendation to eat here in Torquay on TripAdvisor, and so far, this is one of two restaurants we have tried. I highly recommend this place to everyone - it's a real gem. Trust all the reviews - the menu is limited but the dishes are superb. The owner and Caroline were the only staff members, but they provided excellent service. We tried the portobello mushroom and goat cheese starters, which were so good that we shared both. We also had the chicken supreme and chili beef from the specials board, which were equally delicious. I haven't had such tasty dishes in a long time...
